Product Description

The gaslight streets of Victorian London. Horse-drawn broughams, hansoms, and dog-carts rattle over the cobblestone streets, pulling their passengers through the pea-soup fog. On every street corner, you pass booksellers, clubs, prisons, music halls, doctors, tea houses, and steamship companies. Yet in the shadows and dark alleys of this great city, horrible and cunning crimes are committed daily, confounding the policemen of Scotland Yard. Still, even the most ingenious crime is only a puzzle for the world's only consulting detective—Sherlock Holmes!

The game has no board but a map of Victorian London divided into zones and numbers along with famous sites, businesses, landmarks and governmental buildings.

This game will test your knowledge of Victorian England, Holmes & Watsons adventures, problem solving and logic. The game contains ten cases each one will last around 2-4 hours. You start with an opening scene involving Sherlock where the initial mystery is laid out but it will be your job to solve it, using the days paper and the previous papers from the other cases in chronological order. The London Directory and the game book.

You need to work through the intricate clues and red herrings to solve the crime ideally in less steps than Sherlock but don't make this your solitary aim, enjoy the adventure, debate the clues and the many What If's it throws up.

I would highly recommend you use paper and pens to note down key events, build time lines and remember the finest details.

At the end of the game there are ten questions located in the back of the game book, your score will be calculated by the amount you get right compared to Sherlock, what actually happened is revealed by Sherlock in the final scene.

Should you need help along the way you can go to many of Sherlocks known associates such as Mycroft Holmes, Langdale Pike and Porky Shinwell. Each person has there own speciality.

You must also be on the lookout for Moriarty's shadowy hand in the background of each case. This game is rich in content, drama, speculation and fun.

I immediately brought the other 3 games, this game has a certain magic and intrigue to it that it is very hard to replicate.

If you run out of games there are always fan made cases available for free online to continue the adventure. Sherlock Holmes Consulting detective brings Holmes Victorian London to life.

There is also an app you can use to read you the intro to the case.
