The Marvel universe is being torn apart. You and your team of Marvel super heroes help Nick Fury launch a secret pre-emptive strike against Latveria and Lucia Von Bardas only to have to thwart her retalitaory attack on New York City.

Coupled with other super hero incidents, public sentiment turns against super heroes. The Superhuman Registration Act becomes law and super heroes must register as weapons of mass destruction, and become licensed government agents with the United States government. Lines are drawn as Iron Man leads the pro-registration faction, while Captain America spearheads the stand on anti-registration. You must pick a side and fight to determine the fate of the universe and humankind. So, whose side are you on.

Playable Characters
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will feature a wide array of playable heroes and villains, some of which are available from the beginning of the game, while others will need to be unlocked. Although the final list was not available at publishing time, some of the faces from the Marvel universe that players can count on seeing include: Daredevil, Green Goblin, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Mr. Fantastic, Deadpool, Juggernaut, Thing, Spider-Man, Storm, Songbird, Thor, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Venom and Gambit.

Gameplay
As with the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance, the new version of the game is an action RPG in which players create their own fighting team made up of four super heroes/villains. The makeup of teams can be changed as the player chooses, and characters can be leveled up as they gain experience and the game progresses. In addition, the separate powers of super heroes can be combined, or "fused," resulting in unique abilities that are devastating in combat. The game contains over 250 of these fused powers that only await the right combination in battle to be released.

Way back in 2004 when X-Men Legends was first released, I had a great time pulverizing all kinds of baddies thanks to Storm and Jean Grey. They were so powerful that by the end of the game Jean's attacks would kill enemies who weren't even on the screen yet. That game was the best thing to happen to me in all of 2004. Period.

Recent years saw wimpy installments like X-Men Legends II and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, both of which scaled down the power of those two and were totally lame due to the lack of carnage that any individual hero could do.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance II, however, allows the player to really utilize the power of those two heroines. Chain lightning hasn't been this fun since 2004, and neither have psionic powers.

Also, Alliance II does a great job of actually making the player make choices that affect the story and character development. Conversation answers lead to attack or defense boosts, players must decide which side of a civil war they will fight on, etc.

Overall, this is the best Marvel or X-Men game made to date, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in using powerful meta-humans to defend the world from various evil plots.

This is one of the best marvel games ever made. I like this better than marvel vs capcom 3 and im positive its going to be better than the avengers game since it looks like crap. This is one of the few games thats old but is still fun to place. Theres a bunch of fan favorite characters all with alternate costumes in this game with 4 different difficulties. The story is good and there are alot of extra things to do in this game (battle simulator and a character quiz type thing). Word to the wise the, DO NOT buy the character add ons to this game because it'll take your money ! I paid for them but it will not let you download them. This im pretty sure has to do with liscening to the characters. The people that made the game dont own the rights to the characters anymore, so for whatever reason last time i checked you can still buy the other characters but you cant download them. But thats just a tiny con to this game but the game as a whole is still really good.

I recommend this game to everyone who is a fan of marvel.

I know I am late on this, but I had the first one on PC and the control button assignments kept me from finishing the game( I had the PC XBox 360 control). So when the next chapter came out, I was determined to get it on the console.

The game is more or less the same as the first one and plays roughly the same. It is not a mind-blowing game, but something you want to play regardless - especially if you like Marvel (I may not like it as much anymore since Disney bought them)! The graphics have marginally improved but their are more things to pick up, throw and destroy than in the first. The one difference between the console and the PC is, the 360 is in 720P and does not look that great on a 1080P set. The PC has higher resolutions/better video cards so the graphics end up looking better. All in all, a good game to pass the time. For the next one, I expect more innovation and better control over changing direction or looking around while on a stage.

I really liked this game. It was much better than the first X-Men Legends. The music was great. The gameplay took some time to get used to, because I am so used the game mechanics of X-Men Legends and the first Marvel Alliance.

I did want to see how much points I had towards the next level. I got just an overall number of XP to the next level, not what I have right now, which can be annoying when leveling up.

Of course everything is expensive in the game: levels and ability points.

I liked that I was given a choice on which side I wanted to join.

BUT, I GUESS MY MAIN GRIP ABOUT THE GAME IS, WELL, IT DIDN'T PICK UP AFTER MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE. I was looking forward to fighting Galactus.

Now if your a comic nerd or even on the bandwagon with the Avengers movie this will help tip that obsession over and leave you drowning in complete fulfillment.
The U-A2 covers many some story arcs in the Marvel universe and gives you a wide variety of hero's to ground and pound your enemy's into the submission and don't hold back searching for icons and give you better insight to the characters and some unlock able hero's.!!!SPOILER!!! HULK SMASH.lol

Marvel's Ultimate Alliance Team is BACK with more super heros and with addition to some new villians. In Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 the team is in a Civil War so to speak within themselves. The Government is forcing the super heros to register with them or become a fugitive from justice. Which side will you choose? The game also brings back many of your favorite super heros (Cap. America, Iron Man, Daredevil, Blade, X-Men, Fantastic Four to name a few)This is a great game in my opinion.

前作は未プレイですが興味があったので、この次回作の方を購入しました。

まずキャラや背景やオブジェクトなどが丁寧に描かれていて見ているだけでも
楽しいといった感じです。キャラの動き、モーションも素晴らしいと思います。
４人組のチームで戦うので、あとの３人は自動で戦ってくれます。
いわゆる基本的にゴチャキャラバトルというやつですね。
でも、これはアクションRPGです。キャラ育成の楽しみも含まれています。
チュートリアルをクリアすれば好きなキャラでチームを組んで戦えます。
ゲームが進行していくと、どんどんキャラも増えていくようです。

基本アクションは、弱の攻撃と強の溜め攻撃、
２段可能なジャンプとジャンプ攻撃、投げ、つかみと、防御、ダッシュ移動と、４種類のスキル攻撃です。
あと、LTボタンなどと組み合わせることで必殺技、チーム連携も可能といった感じです。
今の新世代アクション、ニンジャガイデン、ベヨネッタ、三国無双マルチレイドのような
ハイスピードアクション系の軽快でテンポの速いアクションが楽しめます。
とりあえず、序盤はダッシュで回り込みながら弱攻撃の連打だけでも何とか進めるでしょう。

予想以上に、丁寧によく出来ていたので興奮しました。
グラフィックも予想以上に丁寧に描かれているので感動しました。
ＣＧムービーが、そのままリアルタイムで動きます。
オブジェクトなども丁寧に描かれていて自由に破壊したり投げたりもできます。
ただキャラが小さすぎて迫力が少ないかな。
あとコンボ技が、ちょっと少ない。

日本では発売されないようですが、前作の日本語版もなかなか好評だったようです。
今流行のハイスピードアクションなので日本でも人気が出そうな気もしますが。
でもキャラが日本では馴染みの無いキャラが多いです。

ゲーム的にもグラフィックもよく出来ていて、なかなか面白いと思います。
