This is the third game i have ever played from the telltale team and this is the third time i have been blown away such an amazing game having never read the graphic novels (the name of which is Fables) i didn't know what to expect but knew i wouldn't be disappointed and how right i was. Once again this is a point and click style game so fans of this kind of game will love it and having found out this is set as a prequel to fables and know what i'm going to be reading next.

I didn't like the Snow White character much after the first episode. It would have been more dramatic and interesting had she really been the one dead. And she became less likeable after the first episode. I didn't like her pouty expressions, frequent bitchy frowning and how she tried to take control of almost every situation. I don't know why, but every telltale game has that one side character I can't stand.

Fairy tales creatures have been banished to the real world. Murder, prostitution and brutality abound. Wolf is the Sheriff with a temper problem and a burning need to redeem himself for past sins. A murder has been committed but lead witnesses are less than forthcoming. This game is stylised by it's graphic novel appearance. It is a story based game, with no real way for the player to fail. The plot moves at a steady pace. It offers a good social commentary on the class system present in today's society ie certain groups feeling ignored and unhelped by authority figures (law) and so are enraged when their assistance is sought by the very people who refuse to help them. "People like us get forgotten all the time. When we suffer we do it in silence, and the world likes it that way. We just fade, like we never existed".

Bought this as a gift thinking it would be as good as the walking dead game. But the walking dead game is far better than this. It just didn't have the same feel or emotional involvement as the walking dead. I had high hopes for it due to the fact the same company produced both but if anymore came out I wouldn't buy it.
