    2TB is a good starting point for storage needs of most gamers. It holds nearly everything I have and makes transferring easier.

    The simple plug and play aspect of it means that I can keep my games on this and simply switch the USB connection back and forth between my desktop and my laptop.

    As far as speeds go, I've not noticed any issues or major differences between loading games from local drives and this portable one.

    While this can be used for gaming, I needed to add storage to my Mac desktop with good reliability.
    I need to transport my content between work and home, and this suited my needs perfectly - no extra power supply required.
    Fast, Quiet, and (I bought the 2TB model) cost effective storage. Pre-formatted exFAT that both MAC and Windows recognize. Performance is virtually indistinguishable from my internal disk.
    ***Update:
    After running this for a few months side-by-side with the WD-Black SSD 500GB model, here's something interesting -
    I have a 50GB file I want to back up. (source is internal M.2 1TB storage) - I tested both this 2TB unit and my WD Black 500GB SSD.
    The 500GB is MUCH faster in the beginning, starting off over 500GB / second but soon it slows down.
    I assume there's some internal caching and it overflows the cache and balances speed to the SSD write-speed.

    The 2TB platter unit (this device) starts out at similar speed, but eventually balances out as well.
    2TB platter average = 115MB / second
    500g SSD average = 49MB / sec
    (note Megabytes, not Megabit.)

    My workstation is USB3 (3.2 Gen A?) compatible on a Dell 3640 Professional workstation (was Mac desktop and USB 2)
    So for short, quick read/write the SSD is lightning-fast
    but for large-file transfers, this 2TB unit sustains write speeds twice as fast.

    This is a good backup drive for files. I do not use it for gaming. Be aware that this is a disk drive so it will be slower than an SSD, but that's ok of you just need to store files on it every so often like I do.

    Western Digital, along with Seagate and Hitachi are the big three spinning disk manufacturers, so it's hard to go wrong with any of them. This particular drive has a lot of "gaming" marketing in the description, but don't be fooled, this is a standard USB hard drive, same as any other in the last 20 years. This one has a nice metal case with pretty cool looking logos though which is why I chose it over competing plastic-cased drives around the same price.

    Die Festplatte hat eine hohe Speicherkapazität von 2 TB. Das ist ideal für mich, da ich viele verschiedene Spiele spiele und nicht ständig welche löschen und neu installieren möchte.
    Die Festplatte hat eine schnelle Übertragungsrate von bis zu 140 MB/s, was die Ladezeiten der Spiele verkürzt und das Spielerlebnis verbessert. Ich habe keinen spürbaren Unterschied zwischen der internen und der externen Festplatte bemerkt.
    Die Festplatte hat ein schickes und robustes Design, das zu meiner PS4 passt. Sie ist aus Metall gefertigt und hat eine LED Betriebsleuchte. Sie ist auch sehr kompakt und leicht, so dass ich sie problemlos transportieren kann.
    Die Festplatte ist sehr einfach zu installieren und zu verwenden. Ich musste sie nur mit dem mitgelieferten USB-Kabel an meine PS4 anschließen und sie wurde sofort erkannt. Ich konnte dann die Spiele, die ich auf der externen Festplatte haben wollte, auswählen und übertragen.

    Il est toujours très vrai malheureusement , qu'en matière de disques durs , la perle rare ??? C'est plus que très dur à trouver . celà existe t'il ???
    Car ON n'a pas encore trouvé de solutions de stockage , sans failles .

    Et ces outils , relativement très utiles dans notre quotidien , ont une durabilité réelle à plus ou moins long terme , qui malheureusement , et vous l'aurez souvent remarqué , demeure toujours à considérer , avec des guillemets , des pincettes , et une bonne part de "philosophie".
    Ainsi , même pour les SSDs qui sont relativement et en théorie plus durables et beaucoup plus rapides que les disques dur traditionnels . Ils peuvent malgré tout et quelquefois , avoir leurs petits soucis .

    - ( Et pour toute personne ayant déjà ouvert un disque dur , à la suite d'une panne , il est bien évident que out celà est très très délicat . Tout autant que de "l'horlogerie").

    Bon : Pour en revenir à ce disque dur à tête de lecture et d'écriture traditionnel -

    Ce WD BLACK P10 : est ULTRA RAPIDE , et ce de façon constante , avec des débits qui demeurent constants , et ce , sur une durée de temps , sans précédent !!! pour ce genre de produit .
    OK il est plus cher qu'un WD Elements . Mais la comparaison s'arrête là en terme de performance pure ,
    car , le fossé qui n'était pas aussi perceptible entre les différents modèles des générations précédentes , est ici conséquent !

    J'ai pu lire en passant par là , des commentaires , qui indiquent que les vitesses annoncées sur le packaging , ne sont pas exactes .
    Celà est très possible , mais pour des raisons , qu'il est nécessaire , d'envisager .
    Ainsi :
    -Ou bien le modèle est branché sur un port USB 2 , ou bien USB3.0 .
    -Ou bien malheureusement , il y a un défaut au niveau du modèle reçu , tout simplement . Et donc dans ce cas les performances annoncées, ne sont alors , effectivement , pas au rendez vous .

    Mais les caractéristiques annoncées sont par rapport à l'unité WD P10 que j'ai reçu , parfaitement conformes , aux promesses annoncées et sont donc ici bien présentes .
    Et quand j'ai branché ce P10 , j'ai immédiatement été époustouflé par la vitesse de transfert .

    WD P10 2To , Testé sur port USB 3.1 :
    En sortie directe d'une carte mère Gygabyte AORUS Pro , à chipset Z390 .
    Le modèle reçu atteint alors bien les 140MB/s . Le disque dur est compativement par rapport à la génération précédente , le WD fameux , Passeport Ultra , comme un saut en terme , conséquent .

    A noter , cependant et assez logiquement qu'il est neammoins incontestablement moins rapide qu'un SSD .
    Mais pour du "Gaming" !!! OH ! comme c'est très très largement suffisant .
    140MB/s c'est très très rapide .

    Il est correct de noter : Qu'en cette époque ou on nous abreuve de MB/s , de GB/s , et bien , il est raisonnable de considérer pour un simple exemple , que lors du transfert d'information pour la lecture d'un Blu-Ray en Full HD , ou pour une simple vidéo en Full HD , celle-ci réclame ne qu'un taux de transfert très modeste , et disons que dans la plupart des cas il est rare , que le débit excède les 33Mégabits/s.

    Les plus :
    - Fonctionne sur console ou PC .
    - Des taux de transfert qui m'ont epoustouflé , en considération de ce type de disque dur .
    - la robutesse de fabrication . Coque de très bonne facture .
    - Une vitesse de transfert stable , constante et maintenu ... à condition bien sur de le brancher sur un port USB 3.1 .

    Bémol : Coûte effectivement plus cher qu'un disque dur "plus basique" .

    Produit plus que remarquable , mais comme toujours les disques nomades ou disques durs internes , restent des élements , fragiles et à la durabilité plus incertaines , que bien d'autre des composants , qui constituent nos ordis .

    ゲーム用とかではなく、パソコンのバックアップ用に使っていますし、弊社ではこれがスタンダードです。丈夫なのが一番のポイントですね。
