    These premium earbuds do what they intended, namely, eliminate latency when paired with the included dongle but at a high cost. To be honest, I don’t find sound latency to be much of an issue when I can even detect it, but the sound quality is paramount.First, EPOS sells a cheaper model (non Hybrid) which doesn’t include the USB-C dongle. I definitely don’t recommend those as there are better earbuds in the market at this price point, including active noise cancellation versions. The dongle itself uses aptX low latency so the protocol gives you basically no lag. But there’s a huge issue that it doesn’t work with the built-in microphone so you can’t use it to communicate with your teammates in multiplayer games. Apparently, that’s a drawback of aptX and not EPOS. Still, that’s a pretty big handicap. The Bluetooth connection is 5.1 with pairing up to 8 devices which is cool.The earbuds have a female British voice that speaks to you when carrying out certain functions like power on and Bluetooth pairing. But to be honest, I find it to be a bit loud and annoying. I much prefer a simple ping or some other less obtrusive sound. Since there’s not an app that allows you to control the features and sound of these earbuds, you’re stuck with it.The earbuds themselves fit great with a good seal. They include 3 additional silicone cups in different sizes, so you’ll need to find one that fits your ears. What I really like is the sound. They sound smooth and detailed. Not boomy like a lot of other headphones that jack up the bass. It sounds great with both games and music. The little button on the left earcup allows you to control the playback of your devices.The box came wrapped in tissue paper which is a nice touch (see photo). The package also included a couple of cables, a rubber dongle carrier, and extra silicone tips (see photo). The metal charge case is very nice and looks very durable. The fit and finish are top-notch. Ultimately, I’m not sure if that’s enough to warrant paying a premium to have if the low latency comes with the drawback of not being able to use the microphone?

    Been using these with the steam deck and the experience has been great. The charging case is all metal and very nice feeling. The sound is great to my ears. No ANC but the passive noise isolation is still great. They recently came out with a firmware update where you can use the mic while using the low latency dongle so that's great. While I would not use it since the mic isn't that good, if you need it it's there and that's nice. if these had a longer battery life then I would use them for my long gaming sessions on my desktop, but for now, I use these primarily for my steam deck and they've been great for it. I also kind of wish these were a little bit louder but the volume is still respectable. These are comfy too and include 4 different sizes of earbuds. if you're looking for desktop earphones then I would probably stick to wired earphones since the battery life is only 4 hrs, but if you're looking for earphones for a handheld like steam deck or switch, then I recommend these.

    Sounds great, works great, battery life is ATROCIOUS. Less than two hours from putting them in with my PC to the low battery warning. If they came with another set you could swap out it would be fine, but they aren't very practical when you have to stop and charge them every two hours.

    Update 2/17: After four months of very little use, the earbuds no longer pair with the dongle or any other device. Do not buy these.

    I really wanted to like these for gaming. Unfortunately, they are just not good.

    Pros:
    Good build quality.
    Multiple ear tips for different size ears.
    Mono sound (right earbud only) if you want to have one ear open.
    Mic works over the dongle (firmware upgrade needed).

    Cons:
    EPOS Software is a buggy mess. Good luck trying to upgrade the firmware or save sound profiles.
    Randomly disconnects often. I tried iPhone, Android, and PC to confirm it wasn't my device.
    Sound quality is quite poor. I tried different sound profiles and even made some of my own.
    Mic is atrocious. Sounds like you're in a tin can underwater to others.

    Bottom line....these aren't worth more than $25 in their current state. That being said, I'd give EPOS another chance if they released an updated version with better sound and software. The hardware itself is well built and looks/feels nice.

    There's a lot to like about these earbuds. They sound fantastic. They are supremely comfortable. The EPOS Gaming Suite software that goes with it is slick and works great.

    However, I don't think it's fair to call these "gaming" earbuds. To qualify, they would have to offer truly low-latency, and in that regard, these do deliver... Unfortunately, the aptX-LL (Low Latency) codec is apparently running on such a razor's edge that it can't pull it off without the occasional crackling, which seems to get worse as time passes on my Windows PC and laptop, even after trying different ports, firmware, and driver updates.

    Kudos to EPOS for including their own USB dongle to ensure compatibility, but I'm afraid it just isn't good enough. To confirm the crackling problem with aptX-LL, I paired these buds with the Creative BT-W3 dongle, which also offers aptX-LL, as well as regular aptX, aptX HD, and SBC.

    aptX HD wasn't available - No biggie. aptX and SBC both worked flawlessly, with excellent sound and no crackling whatsoever - just the usual 200-300ms of latency which makes them unacceptable for gaming. Switching to aptX-LL nearly eliminated the latency, but it wasn't long before the crackling reared its ugly head once again. It's not terribly persistent, but it's enough to be annoying, and at this price point, I expect far better.

    I have a bulky, wireless headset that works perfectly, but it comes with its own, proprietary USB dongle that wisely doesn't use Bluetooth. I wish EPOS had done the same here, but then I guess you'd lose that mobile compatibility that everyone seems so obsessed with. I'm not sure if this is a failure of aptX-LL in general, or just EPOS' implementation of it. In any case, I'll be sending these back.

    I bought these for use mostly with a Steam Deck and my phone hooked up to a Razer Kishi. Getting them plugged into my computer and downloading the EPOS app to get the firmware updated was an unnecessary chore (hopefully these get added to Sennheiser's other apps if they haven't already). Outside of that, they've been great. I wish the controls were on the "master" (right) bud and not the "slave" (left) bud, but I'm sure there's a reason for that. I can lay my head down on a soft pillow while wearing these and have it not hurt my ears, which is nice for gaming in bed while my partner sleeps. If they stuck out a touch less I could use them like budget sleep buds, but the battery life and solid connectivity are features I would rather have. Latency is fantastic and my other wireless buds and headphones are all getting sold because they never see any use now

    Got these "used" from amazon warehouse deal for half price and could have fooled me, other than the box being unsealed they were brand new and perfect condition. These perform absolutely fine for my intended purpose of wireless earbuds for music and light gaming on my mixed use work PC that don't look like obnoxious "gamer" headphones.

    Sound quality won't blow you away but they're certainly as good as you can expect at this price range.

    Saw some reviews complain about poor noise cancellation but they don't claim to have that feature--it is "noise reducing" as in the sealed design of an IEM type of earbud will block out most noise and they do a fairly good job of that.

    A recent firmware update fixed a few connection bugs I had and finally added the ability to use the microphone over the USB dongle.

    Overall very satisfied with these earbuds!

    That said, don't know if I'd say these are worth full price, but for what I paid, they are excellent.
