Im not buying seagates again. So far im more than loyal to my 2 WD drives but im going to have to buy another "faster 2TB drive" minimum by the end of this year.

This SSHD is my personal Favorite, it does improve the performance on Daily use, but still it is slow during Windows Upgrade...
Este disco es híbrido y su funcionamiento se basa en que los bloques del disco magnético más frecuentemente utilizados se duplican en una memoria interna de tipo SSD. Para ello es imprescindible que existan esos bloques que se utilizan con una frecuencia claramente superior al resto del disco.
Van algunos ejemplos de gente que no sabe lo que ha comprado, extraído de opiniones del producto en Amazon y otros sitios:
1) "lo compré para hacer una copia de seguridad y me va igual de lento que un disco normal". Pues claro, como se accede a cada bloque solo una vez, ninguno queda en la cache SSD y aunque quedara tampoco se iba a acceder con más frecuencia.
2) "le pasé un test de velocidad y va igual de lento que un disco normal". Pues claro de nuevo, esos tests suelen crear ficheros con bloques dispersos por el disco magnético y de nuevo no hay ningún bloque que se acceda frecuentemente para que se aloje en la SSD y así mejore su tiempo de acceso.
3) "le acabo de instalar el operativo y va igual de lento". Pues claro de nuevo, debe acceder muchas veces a los mismos ficheros para que sus bloques vayan entrando en la SSD y se acceda más rápido a ellos. Cuando se lleve una docena de inicios del operativo o tiempo usándolo se empezarán a notar mejor sus efectos, no antes.
Resumiendo: el disco está bien solo para casos especiales, por ejemplo si no queremos o si no podemos gastarnos el dinero en una unidad todo SSD o M.2 NVMe que es más rápida pero también más cara. Como disco para el sistema operativo está muy bien en este caso aunque los efectos tardarán algo de tiempo en notarse. Otro ejemplo: juegos que se usan mucho con datos variados. La carga del juego irá bastante rápida. O si tenemos en ese disco utilidades de uso muy frecuente (diseño gráfico, retoque de imágenes, navegadores, ofimática) junto con datos y otros ficheros variados de poco uso. O si alguien está usando un XAMPP para desarrollo y le da caña a la base de datos o a ciertos archivos PHP.
En todos estos casos un disco híbrido de este estilo es una buena alternativa. Para guardar videos no, para hacer copias de seguridad tampoco, ni como almacenamiento genérico.
Las opiniones negativas, solo deben considerarse las que se refieran a fallos del disco. Las de prestaciones no son muy fiables.
