The only downsides were having to enter my email and passwords over and over again to sign into the fire apps on the TV. Thinking back I should I have just hooked up my fire tv which I was using with the previous tv, but since it’s embedded into the Tv like an operating system it makes sense to use it. I wish the fire tv’s, in general would store your email like the Apple products do. And the other downside is that you cannot use the Alexa studio with the TV- I was looking forward to buying a studio on prime day (they had a great deal for the studio and two huge bulbs for free); but luckily I saw that it was incompatible prior to purchasing; I’ll look for a smaller sound bar now.
I had been buying top of line expensive TVs for years. Only to realize they don’t really last long enough to make big-dollar purchases pay off in the long run; between maintenance and technology developments, I’d rather buy a cheaper TV and replace every few years.
This TV is just as nice as my $1200 Samsung from 2012.

The setting doesn’t give user a preview of the change until you click on the change to find if it’s to your liking. Other TV’s allow you to get a preview or idea of what the setting will do.
A lot of users realize with smart TV’s you are also needing WiFi, and some TV’s make it difficult to use or even change channels without the assistance of being in WiFi mode.
Insignia doesn’t impede changing of channels
When using Over-the-air signals.
Another concerning issue with smart Tv’s are the major increase in prying information and preset to snoop on shows you’re watching and data base to have ads fine tuned to each user. This is unacceptable yet growing with smart TV’s. I suggest you shut off all these options and keep companies out of our Business and shows we watch. Profiling people is intrusive and concerning.
What I hope they’ll do in future : have a signal indicator to the strength of over the air signals so the person can fine tune the direction of their antenna.
What’s even more frustrating is that after researching, I found countless reviews from others who faced the exact same problem with this TV model. It’s clear that this isn’t an isolated incident but rather a recurring issue.
What’s truly unacceptable is the lack of support from both the retailer and the manufacturer. Best Buy refused to offer any assistance, and Amazon claimed they couldn’t help because the warranty had ended. It’s outrageous that I’m being asked to pay for repairs for a TV that seems to have a built-in expiration date, without any disclosure to customers.
I strongly advise potential buyers to steer clear of this TV model. It’s a shame that a product with such a glaring issue is being sold without any accountability. Save yourself the frustration and money by investing in a more reliable TV brand. This experience has taught me the importance of thoroughly researching products and reading customer reviews before making a purchase. Don’t fall victim to the “black screen of death” trap!
Your hard-earned money deserves better than this subpar product and the lack of customer support that follows.
