1) The user's manual is in Chinese. WHY? I live in the USA and I bought this in the USA but the manual is in Chinese.
2) The included DVD, why a DVD I don't understand, but the DVD errors out on installing the drivers. I even tried my internal ASUS DVD burner and an external USB HP DVD drive and they both fail reading from the included DVD.
ASUS provides and excellent in gaming motherboards in general except this time they fumbled a bit. Will this atop me from buying ASUS products in the future? NO
A bit disconcerting is that upon registering on the ASUS website, this shows up as a Warranty Expired, why is that if I purchased this as brand new?
The second one I got and installed without issue - worked great for a year. Never touched anything, default settings, etc. Very happy up to that point with the motherboard.
After a year - I was doing an MS update and rebooted the computer and it just shut down, would not reboot. No power, no nothing... Called support and after an hour plus hold time and then some basic troubleshooting - they decide to RMA the device. Fair enough. I request an advanced replacement as I wanted to get it replaced quickly. They stated that you have to call you can next week and set that up. Ok great - now I have to wait 2-3 days. A week goes by and they call and tell me that they don't have any replacements and I have to ship it in for repair. I am annoyed that it took that long but whatever - I get a label and ship it in. Now I am already about 7-8 days past my first call and still with no motherboard.
I wait a week for them to get the device and am tired of waiting on status so I go to thier website and click status update and they tell me that it was "Customer Induced Damage" and that I have to pay $170 to repair (the cost of a new motherboard). They have a picture here with a scratch on the side of the motherboard and something on the pins of the CPU.
First off - not sure about the scratch - if that was there - it was there when I purchased it but it didn't affect it working for over a year. As for whatever the fuzz is on the CPU pins - that was was not there when I shipped it. In fact - I was worried about something getting on the pins, so I covered it with some of the electrostatic bag and snapped down the holder. No way it would have worked for over a year with that. So they have me jump through hoops for a warranty repair for almost a month and then deny my RMA saying that I induced the damage. That makes no sense what so ever. What benefit would I have to want to replace a motherboard with the same item?
ASUS has some good products and I have been a loyal customer for 15 years with many many ASUS products, but this is the first time I have had to deal with an RMA and its crap. This is not how you treat loyal ASUS customers.
Update: after disputing their findings they agreed to replace and sent me a new one. Annoyed that I had to fight with them on this but satisfied with end result. Changing from 1 Star to 4
The "Automatic OC" Bios setting of this motherboard is a fantastic capability. A few BIOS tweaks, and then using that setting and this board makes everything run at the extreme.
It made my PC build a breeze.

I believe the only drawback I had during the installation was a false reading on cpu fan rpm. It’s in the corrected header and spinning but reads as 0 and sets off a warning on start up that requires user manual input to proceed.
You can bypass it and let the warning stay or do a quick google search and disable the warning function altogether.
-Well presented
-Easy to install
-Good price
-Useful instructions (that’s rare)
-Beautiful look
-Well built
Looks nice
But anyone buying this should ideally visit the official support page and check the product vendor guide (that will tell you what all cpu and ram were tested with the motherboard)
