    I bought this keyboard for my surface-pro 9 and two months of usage, no problems. Bluetooth connectivity is awesome. Never have issues reconnecting. Feels good on typing. Backlit is nice. And battery lasts long. Have not changed since when I first charged it and I still have 45% left. It makes me feel that I have surface laptop but with flexibility to take it off from the keyboard and start writing notes and that’s exactly what I wanted. I like this keyboard because I don’t have to worry about breaking kick stand like I did on surface 8 plus this keyboard helps use my surface on the lap very comfortably. Worth the money.

    I was hesitant to buy this product at first due to the bluetooth connection issue other reviewers have said but after using for couple days, I don't have any complaints. I did read through the instructions and found that once you press "Fn" + "Bluetooth button" it will turn on the keyboard from sleep/power off mode. Not sure if this is the latest version and they fixed it or they finally included in the instruction. Either way, this worked and if this actually saves battery life, I am all for it. Will have another review after I used it for a year and see how well this keyboard last.

    I was hesitant to purchase this product due to the many negative reviews, specifically regarding the battery life and the Bluetooth connectivity. I have had this product for 4 days and have used it quite a bit for work and personal use. My feedback is as follows:

    1) So far, I have not had any connectivity issues. When my Surface goes to sleep, whether it's for one hour or 12 hours, the keyboard wakes up at the stroke of a key, and the Bluetooth connection resumes seamlessly without issue. Perhaps they resolved the issue that others have complained about.
    2) Installation is incredibly easy, the Surface fits perfectly into the device, and it functions precisely as you would hope it would. It feels completely like a regular laptop.
    3) The keys feel good, easy to type on, reasonably quiet.
    4) The trackpad is average at best. The "click" feels and sounds cheap but it works. The track pad isn't as fluid as the Surface typecover's trackpad - the cursor is a little jumpy, but it works just fine.
    5) The battery life seems to be just fine so far. I charged it to 100% after unboxing and before first use. That was 96 hours ago and it's currently at 92% battery life. I would estimate about 8-10 hours of use in that 96 hour timeframe. Based on this sample size, I would imagine I will have to recharge the device a couple times a month, which is no big deal at all.

    Conclusion:
    I am extremely pleased with my purchase. This product looks and functions exactly as I had hoped it would. I only wish I had bought it sooner.

    Update Dec 2022: Trackpad has stopped working. I've had this for a year, and it's now a very expensive paperweight. THE worst device I've ever had the misfortune to own.

    I could deal with the weight of this keyboard. It's supposed to be heavy to offset the topweight of the Surface.

    But I can't deal with the fact it's always out of power? And there's NO INDICATOR to tell me how much power is left. Seems like every time I pick it up after a few days, it's not pairing with the Surface -- because it needs to be plugged in. AGAIN.

    I gave up on having this as a mobile solution - the weight makes it absolutely not portable. But I can't even use it around the house! The only thing it's good for is as a desktop port for the surface, where it's always plugged in. :/ Except it doesn't even make a good dock, cause it doesn't charge the Surface if connected!

    For the price, I expected more out of this device. Kinda regret getting it.

    Oh, and it didn't even come with a charging cable. Ironic, considering it always needs it.

    Update Nov 2022: it is CONSTANTLY losing connection with Surface. Like literally every couple of minutes I have to stop everything and re-pair it. Or try to, cause sometimes it just refuses to connect at all. Totally regretting this purchase.

    This product was clearly rushed to market, and it shows. In only a day of using it, I've run into a number of issues, both major and minor.

    Pros:
    - Key switches feel good, similar to Surface type cover.
    - Touchpad is okay. Not as good as Surface type cover, but... acceptable.

    Cons:
    - Bad layout. Fn+Left and Fn+Right do NOT function as Home and End -- the Home and End keys are shared with F10 and F11. This makes fn-lock mode pretty much useless.
    - Awful layout. If you want to press one of the F-keys without fn-lock, you have to press Alt+Fn+F# in that order -- if you press Fn THEN alt, it shuts off your touchpad.
    - Terrible layout. Includes a lot of useless keys -- nobody needs dedicated keys to open the Windows screencast or settings menus.
    - Shift key needs to be pressed in just the right spot, or it will randomly think it's been released. This is a problem if you're like me and you don't ever use capslock.
    - Shuts itself off seemingly at random, even when the battery is fully charged.
    - Battery life is garbage. Barely lasted two days on a full charge, even with the backlight off.
    - Input lag when holding down keys -- for example, if you hold down an arrow key for a few seconds, your cursor will continue moving for probably half a second after you let go of the key.
    - Bluetooth connection can have a noticeable effect on the Surface's battery life.
    - SHOWSTOPPING ISSUE: Not only does the Surface's screen not turn off when you fold it shut, it TURNS BACK ON EVEN IF YOU LOCKED IT MANUALLY. THIS WILL KILL YOUR SURFACE BATTERY.

    Overall, do not buy this keyboard. It is NOT ready for market -- it's ready for a recall.
