Product Description
It’s been 20 years since the events of the original game. The virus won, and humanity is slowly dying. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who delivers goods, brings news, and connects the few remaining survivor settlements in barren lands devastated by the zombie virus. However, your true goal is to find your little sister Mia, who you left behind as a kid to escape Dr. Waltz's torturous experiments. Haunted by the past, you eventually make the decision to confront it when you learn that Mia may still be alive in Villedor — the last city standing on Earth.

Now I do think that DL and State of Decay 2 are the greatest Zombie games ever made, but with Dying Light 2 we get another entry on that short list. The graphics look excellent and the frame rate is smooth after Techland released the latest patch for the Xbox Series X. VRR with at least 60 FPS throughout? That will do just fine. The combat is so weighty and beefy in this game. Techland made the decision to pretty much eliminate firearms this time and I’m glad. This is about melee combat baby! Brutal sounds of metal hitting metal “CLANK!” or wood or flesh! We get a blocking mechanic as well now.. not just the dodging and throwing maneuvering of the first game. The longer you play and the more you try, the more this game rewards you just like DL1, and you meet some provocative and shady characters along the way. What’s not to like? If you like large maps, free roam, substantial, weighty & brutal combat, a meandering and interesting story with an ominous soundtrack to back it all up, then this game is for you. Oh and yes.. it is creepy just like DL1!
Good creepy fun! Enough said.
The parkour and combat is actually really fun in this game. It's easy to forget there's a story while you're off hacking away at Larry and jumping off cars to dropkick Sally back to the local deli. The only annoyance is the servers with multiplayer. Once players randomly get dropped/disconnected, even though internet is stronger than an Ox, it's a dreadful game of quitting and restarting to have to boys back in town.
Overall, I really like the game. It looks and plays great. What may seem like a small downside adds up over time... Why did they get rid of weapon repairs and the ability to throw destroyed weapons? It gives little to no incentive to mod weapons knowing they're not going to last very long before you replace it with a dinky table leg.
