I started worrying about wearing out the contacts on the primary headset cable by frequent plugging and unplugging. So I bought this cable and a USB3 male/female adapter that's only about 1.5" long. I put the USB3 adapter on the Oculus cable and planned to let the adapter take the wear and tear of plugging and unplugging. But, the USB3 adapter breaks the signal and won't connect. So, for now, I am in fact plugging and unplugging in the primary contacts. My point by explaining this is the Oculus does appear to be sensitive to signal loss. But, this cable works perfectly.
Tried a Cable Matters 3 meter extension that cost 3x this price. The first one didn't work and the replacement they sent me also didn't work. Next move is to setup a signal repeater using this cord and see what results I can get, seems the repeaters are the most likely option to work for VR headsets.
This is still a great cable seeing as it's cheap and worked well for a year for me for VR use, I would absolutely trust it if you're using it for a monitor or static display that isn't twisting and bending the cord around.
There are many cables that claim to be extension cables, and I don’t believe this cable claims to be, but it does extend the Display Port cable of the headset to your pc. It’s very simple to set up, just do the following:
1) Plug the male cable ends from the Rift into the female ends on the extension cables.
2) Plug the extensions into your PC.
3) Enjoy your 6ft extension
(The USB 3.0 cable is a separate cable and a different manufacturer)
Something that’s also nice, is that the locking DP connector does not hold onto the port like a crocodile, unlike other cables that you need to press really hard to release.
[UPDATE:]
After speaking with the seller, they have sent me a new cable free of charge. It took a while to get here, but I'm just glad it works! Thanks to the seller for supporting their product.

A NOTE FOR OCULUS/META USERS:
Did you plug the cable in only to get a "Display port not plugged in" error? Welp, congrats, your USB cable cant supply enough power (Most likely), I was able to turn off ALL the oculus audio drivers so that the USB didnt try to power the speakers and it started working. So keep in mind if your buying it to extend your cable, MAKE SURE you can give the headset enough USB power.
