I used this board with Intel Core i5-13600KF, Noctua NH-D15S, Kingston Fury Beast Black 64GB 5600MT DDR5, SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD (buy one without heatsink, since the motherboard has heatsinks)
There was no need to do BIOS re-flash, everything worked out of the box (although I did BIOS update later to have the latest and greatest). I installed Windows 11 Professional in less than 15 minutes (most time spent learning how to bypass the need to have a Microsoft account for the installation).
Pros:
1. CPU cooler power connector is too close to the edge of the board. I had a hard time fitting the connector because it was too close to the tower fan. Most people won't have this issue, but I did.
2. Motherboard Bluetooth failed to be recognized by Windows 11 until I powered off the PC (physical unplug power) and restarted it. This is a known issue for the motherboards of this family.
Called their tech support and he said try a new power supply so I did. I have a power supply tester and it tested fine but I still tried a known good and also the replacement for the power supply I got for my new build. No change. Called support again and they said it was a bad board and to RMA it, then order a replacement. I already told them this was a replacement. They said order another one. Against my better judgement I returned and got a third board.
This third board would post but when I went to do the BIOS update, I noticed it was only recognizing two of the four 16GB DDR5 sticks. Doing some online research, I found that updating the BIOS can clear the unrecognized RAM error so I updated the BIOS which was successful but when I checked BIOS again, it was still only registering 2x16GB RAM. Swapped the RAM around, still only registering 32GB Total. Called support again and asked them if there is a known issue with the Memory Channels. The support agent was silent, inhaled after a couple of seconds, and then told me there is no known issue. Previously working for an IT Call Support Center, I recognized telltale reactions/actions of them knowing something but not publicly sharing it stating the standard "There is no known issue of this sort" kind of BS.
I told them I would be returning this and going with a different company. He apologized.
I used q flash plus with a USB drive to install the latest bios from gigabytes website and it worked great. Would recommend to any potential buyers.
