Thermal hazard, keyboard burnout
The laptop is sleek and quite strong. Sadly the thermal management is terrible. If you run a serious program like video editing will shut off constantly. I measured temperatures at 95 C. The heat actually burnt off the plastic keys of the keyboard with the heat when shut and inserted into the case. Too bad there is no local store to take back for a refund.Run a temperature monitoring app and check for yourself. Can't imagine this laptop will last even 12 months at these temps.

Its a beauty..
The envy is such a great laptop with great looks and performance which is top notch. The speakers are amazing, the screen resolution is ok with lower nits you dont get a very good screen quality.
I have to mention the thick hp bezel at the bottom which is a bit annoying, had no idea that this model was a costco special release. All in all performance,build quality is great if the screen res and bezel doesnt affect you...go for it

Switched from a high end Samsung Notebook to this and love it. Screen resolution is great, speed is fast and fingerprint pad is on the flat main surface instead of the side! I do lots of photo editing and this keeps right up even with multiple editing programs open at once. Very happy I got an HP Spectre.

However, the Tech Warehouse LLC tech support technician was accommodating and patient to help us debug and help us set up the computer correctly to use. We are about to return the laptop, but the tech help us fix all the issues, and we can use the computer now!

I was first attracted to the look and feel of this laptop, then I realized that it didn't come with a HDMI port and only has 1 USB connector. I am so happy to have ordered from the company Tech Warehouse. Not only did it come with a 64B memory card, but I mentioned the port issue to them and was ready to return the laptop because of it and they toke very good care in understanding my concern. They introduced me to a 9-port C adapter that has everything I could ever need from ikling and the 9-port device came with a lifetime warranty! I also had a concern about losing the touchscreen pen until I realized two things. One, the laptop has a magnet next to the keyboard that holds the pen if you need to set it down really quickly and Two, the leather case, which I absolutely love has a pen holder that is accessible if you take the laptop out and set it on top of the case as well, which is a very nice design. I was looking for the pen storage to be in the laptop like it is on the Samsung Note phones but the way they have this designed, it will encourage you to keep the lap top and the case together so you do not end up losing your pen. The touchscreen is pretty accurate , although at times it has switched to another screen or closed out for no reason a few times already. I won't say its a major issue but hopefully its not going to get worse. The keyboard is nice for typing and it does really well on battery life. It also had a really great connectivity to other devices via Bluetooth and wireless and app syncing. I have to still learn more, but this is what I think about it so far.
