Product Description
While most mobile devices use the 3. 5mm stereo headphone output most home audio systems with an amplifier or receiver use RCA jacks for audio inputs. This cable is ideal for connecting the output of your mp3 player or phone to your home audio system. The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick while the connector housings are about 41mm long x 15mm diameter. Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections such as from your PC to your sound system. If you want something more suitable for portable applications please try one of our standard 3. 5mm to RCA audio cables.
Customer reviews
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The only potential negative would be extremely picky which is these aren’t fancy in appearance. Plain black, smooth covering, simple. No ritzy colors or finishes. Not exactly super high-end to look at(although the heads are gold-plated). But feel them and the quality shines through. Superior protection from interference is apparent and they should last a long time. They perform flawlessly. Compared to thinner cheapies the difference in sound quality is obvious to me yet I doubt super expensive would be perceivably and better than these by MonoPrice. Get these and improve your sound over the crap that often comes with audio gear without paying for overpriced “high-end” names. MonoPrice is a quality brand.
I already had a 15 ft, unshielded 3.5mm to RCA cable that I've been using to connect my MP3 player and my laptop to my stereo's aux input, but unless I had everything just right, I was liable to experience a hum-- feedback interference. In addition, the old cable would occasionally cause my MP3 player to freeze up, which never happens when I'm using headphones.
I've had this cable for a few weeks now, and with daily use, on both the laptop and the MP3 player, I haven't had any issues at all, so I'm pleased. It seems to be heavy duty cable, well made, and durable. It's very flexible for it's thickness though, so I think anyone needing to route the cable around corners, etc will have no problem at all.
4 stars instead of 5 just because the 3.5 plug housing is rather long and heavy, (which makes it pretty durable-- I doubt I'll be suffering from a bad joint connection, but--) I sense that it's going to cause some problems with my laptop jack eventually, because it weighs so much I can see how the jack will get loose over time, especially with daily use. It would have been better designed with an elbow plug, if possible.
Otherwise, I think it's great. Great deal for the money.
update 1-5-13: happy to report my cable still works great; everything is the same. Just want to clarify that I bought mine from cablemart for approx $10 + $5 shipping. Glancing at a few more recent reviews, I can't guarantee that the cable advertised is the same one I bought. I don't think the picture is the same either. the one I bought looks like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Quality-Shielded-Connecting-Receivers-Accepting/dp/B002XWRVIC/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1357381992&sr=1-6
Perfect for what i needed.
this thing was inexpensive, got here super fast with free shipping, and i say performs. you can hear: and that is the difference! even mp3 sound better, fuller, deeper. and it seems to be sturdy and durable. i use it to go from laptop out to radio station console rca inputs. big difference compared to the wimpy sound from your regular, spaghetti like rca cables. and again, for the price. turn off all of your audio enhancements/wow effects, just play flat or default on any sort of enhancement, and the sound is great from the board. i forgot this thing last week, and about lost my mind. i am getting another just to leave at the station. life is too short.
oh, and the 10 foot length, perfect. go for that length, your life just got easier, and for next to nothing. very good quality and performance.
Speaking of 'the price' - don't spend $500 on short-throw audio cables. No cable on this planet will make your music sound "better" by itself: it will only do this if it solves a problem in your signal chain. If all you need is to send audio from point A to point B and you're working with short (<20ft) distances, this will do.
