Choose your journey through a new, open-world Pokémon adventure
The newest chapters in the Pokémon series, the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, are coming to the Nintendo Switch system later this year. Catch, battle, and train Pokémon in the Paldea Region, a vast land filled with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, small towns, and sprawling cities. There is no set path, so you can adventure freely through three grand stories. In one such story, you can challenge Pokémon Gyms in any order you desire as you aim for the Champion Rank! Explore a wide-open world at your own pace and traverse land, water, and air by riding on a form-shifting Legendary Pokémon—Koraidon in Pokémon Scarlet and Miraidon in Pokémon Violet. Choose either Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly, to be your first partner Pokémon before setting off on your journey through Paldea.
Encounter Pokémon that shine and glimmer thanks to the Terastal Phenomenon
Pokémon in the Paldea region have the ability to Terastallize to gain special power. When a Pokémon Terastallizes, a Tera Jewel appears above its head like a crown, and the Pokémon’s body glistens like a cut gemstone. Each Pokémon has a Tera Type that remains inactive until the Pokémon Terastallizes. For example, most Eevee will have a Normal Tera Type, but some other Eevee have a Flying Tera Type! When a Terastallized Pokémon uses a move that matches its Tera Type and at least one of its original types, the boost to that move’s power will be even greater! Terastallizing holds the key to victory or defeat in battles in the Paldea region.

There are no more quest blocked areas, or being told you can't go through that gate without bringing the guard a lemonade. You can go wherever, whenever you feel like it.
And the cool thing is, you can do it all put of order. Do you want to beat the areas mini leaders first? You can do it. Would you rather play the classic way, and beat every gym leader before the side quests? You can do it. Do you want to find all the titan pokemon? Sure go right ahead and do that first.
It's a easy way to introduce new fans to the pokemon games. Plus it had loads of awesome extras, from cooking a picnic for your pokemon to raid battles for exclusive pokemon. You can even go to an auction for items and bid for what you want daily.
The story is also very interesting and keeps you entertained. Sometimes you'll laugh, and in one such storyline, you'll prob even shed a tear (maybe) because it gives you THE FEELS. A twist, that honestly I did not expect which is super refreshing.
It's a great Game, and one you can easily sink hours into and STILL have more to do. You won't be disappointed by buying this game.

Outside of all that, it's a pretty solid pokemon entry. Having both now before they implement the update for the Pokemon home compatibility is a good way to be ready to complete your pokedex without friends. The party mode, raids and portal are great social interactions.
Without giving any spoilers at all, it's a great game to experience. If you're buying 2 games for 2 different people, please refrain from purchasing this as it contains a code for one account to have both games.
The game itself seems to have good graphics & the new Pokémon are super cute. I May update this after we complete the game. It would be nice if I got some of my money back due to this extreme inconvenience, but let’s be real that’ll never happen. Thanks Amazon.
EDIT (SUNDAY AFTER GAME RELEASE): The game has crashed at least 3 times already, super laggy & the frame rate in our opinion is poor. There have been times when riding Pokémon, they may get stuck on the side of a mountain and cannot move. Thankfully, it seems there may be some failsafe where the game realizes it’s stuck and refreshes itself. When entering battles the camera angles are way too zoomed in and you have to manually adjust the camera angle in order to actually see the Pokémon you are encountering. The last irritating bit for us, is when there’s a group of Pokémon and you just finished an encounter you’re almost immediately put back into another encounter because you weren’t given enough time to run away or get a Pokémon out to farm the group. We really enjoy being able to switch from solo to playing with others as his brother and friends live in a different state than us & we are able to share links and play together. Will update again when we complete scarlet.
If you search “digital software downloads” and click the box that says your downloads you’ll be able to find the code there. Hopefully this helps someone out.
But I guess if I must review the game I like the colors violet and scarlet irl, so I’m sure it’s fine. Maybe.
