Product Description
Its Ultra-high efficiency and outstanding performance are the fine results of Seasonic’s continuous commitment to innovation and advancement. Improved low-load efficiency, highly suppressed ripple noise and a generous 12-year manufacturer’s warranty are just some of the characteristics that set these series apart from other power supplies on the market.

I should note that I'm particularly sensitive to high pitched noises, frequently hearing noises from things that others don't. It seems possible that another might not hear the whine from this PSU, but to me -- it's mind-numbingly irritating. I purchased mine from Microcenter with a warranty plan and will likely get it replaced, but I am frustrated. Here's what's in my system:
Asus rtx 3070 dual OC, ryzen 3950x, 2x sabrent 4.0 ssds, msi meg x570 ace motherboard, arctic freezer liquid II 360mm (with included fans), 6x corsair ml120 pro LED fans, 1 x seagate barracuda 3tb HDD. This isn't a trivial amount of hardware... but it's not that much, and the whine is happening at idle with a power draw of around 150 watts or so. Neither the GPU nor the CPU are overclocked.
Clearly based on the reviews here, your mileage may vary. I remain unimpressed however by what is supposed to be a top of the line, premium product. It gets 2 stars from me for the unbelievably distracting noise. Will update if/when I have it replaced.
For one, I am sure Seasonic can make a good power supply, that's not my issue with the Internals. My issue is with the fan. The Fan hits the top of the metal shroud and Clangs really loudly ! Clang Clang Clang
You have to bend the shroud with your thumb if you want the noise to stop.
For two, there is a lack of PCIE Cables. I need 3 8 Pin PCIE TO 2X DUAL 8 PIN PCIE. They don't give you any. They do give you 4 - 8 pin flat single Cables. Enough to power 2 GPU'S.
On the front of the Power Supply there are spots for 6 PCIE Cables - Enough for 3 GPU'S But Seasonic doesn't give you the Cables.
Seasonic is Nannying you. I'm not Gaming with 3 GPU'S. They each run @ 100 Watts
3 x 100 is 300 Watts. I run nothing else except 3 molex for GPU power on a Prime TX-750.
STOP being Nanny Seasonic and provide people with the necessary cables if your going to sell something like this. I contacted Seasonic Support & had to pay an extra 25 bucks for 3 cables.
EVGA even gives out more cables on cheaper made power supplies. Say NO to the NANNY !
Today, 27 November, the replacement unit just died completely with no warning, and now even using the included power on tester doesn't result in the power supply turning on.
I thankfully have an older Seasonic 850w gold that works great, but I expected more out of Seasonic and their Titanium rated PSUs considering the price.
If I do not edit this review. Then assume nothing has changed and things are still good.
