RUINED my $4000 laptop! Buy with caution people!!
I've never been this disappointed with an Amazon purchase. I had originally planned on purchasing another skin to replace this one I've had on my laptop a little over a year now, so I decided to go ahead and remove this one. It actually PEELED THE fINISH OFF MY LAPTOP. This is was bought t9 protect my laptop and it only caused damage. You can see from the photos that the places where it was peeled up is the same shape as what is still stick to the underside of the original skin. Tried going by Amazon's procedures and trying to work with a seller for a reasonable resolution. In the response I recieved back from the seller insisted that it wouldn't just peel in certain places "the whole keyboard would have peeled off with the skin idle it was in fact caused by this". That further emphasizes my point, the skin should not have peeled AT ALL. There is absolutely no logic to that theory. But apparently this is the first complaint of this type in "12 years of selling" this product. Looking at some of the reviews, clearly I'm not the only customer having issues with this product. All I'm saying is proceed with extreme caution. I wish I never made this purchase.

The Good:
I bought the Black Leather Textured Skin. The skin is cut well, it fits nearly perfect. The leather texture gives it a better grip, also more comfortable when its on my lap.
BTW, My laptop is a Precision 5550 which has the exact same chassis as the XPS 9500 (2020). I don't mind the Skin had a 'XPS' cutout on the bottom.

The Bad:
I put this skin on as soon as it arrived, without noticing that it does not have cutouts for the screws on the bottom of the laptop. Other skins I bought from other sellers like SlickWraps had these cutouts. Most high end laptops are upgradeable. Now if I need to add memory, another SSD, or if the laptop needs to be opened for any reason, there goes $50 skin!!!
- SophiGuard should add cutouts for screws. This is a must.
- I suggest they offer a logo delete option or provide a round piece of the skin material to cover up the DELL logo. Some users like me, wont care to show off the brand, rather have a clean look.

I asked for a refund and they tried not to take any responsibility. They told me contact dell because my laptop has a defective surface. Like get real, really? Your adhesive is too strong that if you apply it to the rubberized surface, it's bonded and it will ruin your computer.

This product is intended to protect your computer, not do the opposite and destroy it.
