The gameplay itself is tight and the shooting mechanics are fantastic. It was actually a bit of a challenge to learn even for someone who’s above average at FPS genre games. The look, feel and sound of the blasters are amazing. The only negative is that there aren’t many to play with. But you won’t tire of them easily.
The gameplay, maps and character models capture the feel of Modern Star Wars perfectly. For any real fan of Star Wars, it’s hard not to get excited when you’re a Death Trooper rushing through the hangar on Yavin 4 and wiping out Rebels.
There’s a variety of game modes to play through, but by far the best are Galactic Assault and Capital Supremacy. The latter captured the feel of the early Battlefront games very well, and Galactic Assault is a fun classic Battlefield mode incorporated into the game well. Single player is still a little lacking even after the epilogue was added. But it’s worth taking the time to play through if you’d like a better understanding of some more recent canon without reading any books.
Overall, if you wanted to give this game a chance, now is the time. The initial launch is far removed from our minds and this game now has a dedicated player base. I highly recommend it for any Star Wars fun or even someone just looking for a different type of FPS. 10/10 purchase easily.
Heroes are kind annoying to use, mainly because you are stuck in third person when playing heroes, jedi heroes are surpisiingly "squishy" in some cases (meaning they are kind of weak).
Starfighter combat is awesome but there are a few exceptions, the Falcon is difficult to maneuver but considereing it's size and bulk on the screen it's understandable. Tie fighter combat is excellent, that ship can turn on a dime with room to spare!
The story did an amazing job tying itself into the movies without being pretentious about it. the epilogue missions did an excellent job explaining about the origins of the first order and giving you perspective on just how massive the order is and how quickly it rose to power and the ending tied up all the necessary loose ends while leaving it open for a continuation of the story for the main characters. I give this a max rating because I went into this game purely for the story and I was very happy with it. I have not played any of the multiplayer content yet, and look forward to grinding the arcade mode.
If you don't buy this title, I HIGHLY recommend at least renting it or youtubing the story. It is worth it.
Online multiplayer is tons of fun and the Campaign is also pretty nice, but will never beat the 2005 Battlefront 2 campaign.
Battlefront 2 is full of fun game modes that Battlefront 2015 was lacking. Battlefront 2015 is still fun, but 2 has a lot more going for it. It has Clone Wars, Galactic Civil war, and The sequel Era. SWBF2015 only had Galactic civil war (still buy that too cause online is tons of fun)
Battlefront 2 was a pretty crappy game, but now it is worth buying and I think you should check it out.
