Verdict. Considering the price, these are amazing headphones for gaming, the sound is fantastic. There isn't an exaggerated low end to the sound which is good for games because boosting the low-end causes ear fatigue in situations where there are lots of simulated explosions. Unless you enjoy the idea of hearing loss. They are nicely flat sounding straight out of the box. They can get loud without losing detail. But to really squeeze all the value out of these headphones, you will want to install the software from Steel Series and you can give these any sound profile you want with a multipoint band equalizer, with a level of detail found in DAW and the ability to then save the setting to the headphones on board memory.
Comfort, they are super light, it's easy to forget that I even have them on. These are more comfortable than my Siberia 800's which I thought were pretty comfy.
I tested these doing some music production and the latency isn't to bad at all. The latency is 32 ml which is about the same as a speaker 32 feet away. Not the best compared to a wireless set made for music production which does 16 ms but cost $350. For the money these are totally worth it. For music production, you can make these as flat as you want.
Battery life is really good. One charge is good for at least 20 hours of continuous listening.
Things I don't like. Considering the ultra-low price of these cans, I consider these complaints not really valid. But they do cost only what they cost for a reason. They charge with micro-USB A, which is annoying to deal with in the dark. The volume dial is really small and took some getting used to.
Is it worth getting the next level model up for $40 more. Yeah, I think so.
Comfort 10/10 : Let me honestly say that this is the most comfortable headset i have ever wore in my entire life. I’ve been through Astro A40s, Astro A50s, Turtle Beach ( I don’t recommend btw ) , Somy headsets and this took me by surprise. For a $100!? It’s honestly amazing. The clamping force is really not bad. Doesn’t hurt your ears or anything when putting them on. Also the very soft leather material they use on the Ear Cups is the best i have felt.
Durability 10/10 : Now you may think it looks like a very cheap plastic. I’m gonna let you know that it’s not. They use a very strong plastic & what makes this even better is the very strong reinforced steel they use on the headband which makes it very durable and flexible. This doesn’t mean you can just throw your headset because it’s that durable. As every other gaming headset just take them off gently and place them down gently to avoid any damage. Overall you don’t have to worry about this breaking on you unlike that cheap plastic that Turtle Beach use. If i can compare to another headset in terms of durability it would be Astros. It’s that good.
Sound 10/10 : Boy oh Boy let me just say. When i first hooked these up i was SHOCKINGLY stunned how loud these were. It was to the point i legit had to turn them down a notch because it was that loud. You definitely get your bass, Low, Mids & Highs. You have very good directional sounds so you can hear enemy footsteps from behind, front, ledt & right perfectly well and you can also tell weather they’re up top or at the bottom. Overall the Sound Quality is top tier so don’t listen to the reviews of ppl saying it’s bad
Noise Cancellation 10/10 : Steelseries definitely nailed it on this one. When you put this on you cam barely hear anything in the background. There was times i had to take these off to actually hear what they’re saying. Probably one of the best i seen if you ask me.
Mic Monitoring 10/10 : Now let me get this straight. Ppl said the mic was terrible but they’re wrong . Let me tell you that this Mic sounds very crisp and clear. As far as i stated before with the noise cancellation ppl can barely hear anything in your background with this mic. So if you got a PS4 that sounds like an AC130 taking off this will cover it 100% and i also love the fact it’s w Clearcast mic which is why it’s even better. You can also use the Steelseries EQ Engine to adjust any of these features above to your liking weather you wanna tweak the sounds or the mic etc so that’s a W for Steelseries.
Overall Review : These are definitely worth $100. I recommend anyone to get this if you’re struggling to get a good headset especially the more expensive premium ones. Although this headset does feel very premium if you ask me. You won’t be disappointed with this product at all. By far my new favorite headset along with Astros.

I DON'T HAVE ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS WITH THIS NEW HEADSET!!!
The sound is amazing; I can hear sounds from all directions and there is no crackling/static. The ear pads are very comfortable; I game on my PC for at least 10 hours per day, and I have yet to experience any soreness or fatigue. Noise cancelling on the mic is excellent. The range is pretty good; I can walk from my room to the downstairs kitchen without the headset disconnecting. The headset is also rhythm game-friendly, as the audio does not lag or desync at all--a problem I experienced with the A20. Battery life seems to be accurate. My only gripe is that I have to download the SteelSeries software to customize the audio, which requires creating an account and giving out my email address.
Overall, if you are not an audiophile and want a good wireless headset for a budget-friendly price, I highly recommend the Arctis 1. I'm sure any other SteelSeries model is great; my sister has the Arctis 7 and loves it. I settled with this one because it was the cheapest I could find (and less expensive than the A20).

They're very comfortable forgiving if dropped due to the lightweight and flexible build. Honestly, having the wireless option is so much better than anything else offered on the market, if you're looking for a wireless gaming headset, look no further.
