Advance in BB-8’s Adventure: A Star Wars Story

Every day, kids unfold new adventures in the app as they reach their daily 60-minute activity goals, inspiring them to do their best. With you as their co-pilot, your little rebel goes alongside BB-8 and the pilot Zepha as they tackle adventures on the planet Jakku. Search abandoned starships for missing parts, meet the smuggler queen, Maz Kanata, and help rescue your friend BB-8 when his fate hangs in the balance.

The Parental Personal Assistant

Parents use the free mobile app to manage the vívofit jr. 2 activity tracker. From the app, add profiles for multiple kids to see each child’s steps, sleep, daily activities and chore data when it syncs to your mobile device. Invite the whole family to compete in a daily step challenge, assign tasks and chores, designate a reward virtual coin value, and find out how many coins each child has. Those in-app coins can be redeemed by your kiddos for agreed-upon rewards. It’s all controlled right from your device.

Rewards, Reminders and Responsibilities

Kids will see just how fun and rewarding household chores can be. With vívofit jr. 2, parents assign chores and schedule alerts from the smartphone app, and kids’ bands show them their new jobs to do. These can be set up to recur weekly or even daily — perfect for children who need reminders. And for youngsters who procrastinate, schedule alerts in the parent app so vívofit jr. 2 reminds them to finish their homework, brush their teeth and more. The alert will remind them with an icon what they’re supposed to be doing. Then, the child can start the task timer on the device so they know how long they have left.

Friendly Step Challenges

Friendly competition comes to the playground and the backyard. Toe-to-toe step challenges lets kids sync with nearby friends to challenge each other (one-on-one challenge) — or even themselves — to timed step competitions. Once complete, they’ll see their total number of steps during the challenge and find out if they triumphed over their friends or beat their own personal best. It’s all controlled right from the wrist. Download the Connect IQ app to a compatible device to challenge your kids to a step competition.

    Love it but...
This watch was great for my 4 year old, but as you can see, after 6 months the print is entirely worn off of the band. The battery also died today. Still highly recommend, but I wish it had more longevity or cheaper bands.

We have bought 3 of these over the past year for our boys! The battery life does last 1 year. My boys never take theirs off even in the shower and swimming in the pool. We had trouble with one not getting the update from the app and when we changed out the battery at one year it would drain within 2 days!! After 2 battery replacements draining the watch wouldn’t even turn on. Sad but we now think it was the update that Garmin says should fix it. So we ordered another one in hopes of more than a year of durability! My kids love the timers, I love the alarms for brushing teeth, chores, awake time, homework time, etc. They like getting coins just to have a collection. They don’t play the game in the app too much but the one button on this watch makes it perfect for all age kids! Our boys love competing with their Dad and me on how many steps they have throughout the day too! And challenges with their cousins and classmates! I can’t say enough! We have gotten 8 other friends to buy them!!!

My son loves his vivofit. This is his second one. First one last over a year and he work it 24/7/365. Best part is it doesn’t need to be charged and is waterproof... therefore- kidproof!! Wish the band was a little bigger or multiples sizes available. I like the stretchy one so he can comfortably wear it to sleep etc, but he does have a ton of room so a slightly bigger kid with a larger wrist might need the adjustable strap (not as comfy or kid friendly). (He’s an average sized 6 yr old and my 7 yr old niece and 4 yr old nephew also have one and love them!)
And I love the reminders so he get alerts to do certain chores or get ready for bed etc.

My kid has been so active since he got his garmin. He likes knowing what he has done on the day for his health! I like the chore reminders, the alarms that can be set, and that ge doesnt have to take it off to charge it every couple of days....that year long battery makes it so simple! And to top it off ge get to earn rewards and play a short little game when he has achieved his goals on the day. Highly recommend

The app and idea behind the watch amazing! The band and coloring on the band blow! My son hasn’t had this watch a month and the color of the bb8 al over are almost nonexistent! He was so upset that they are disappearing in front of him! Don’t get me wrong I know that’s not the reason for the watch but when you buy a watch and we talked him into wearing it because on the character then got him into the routine of the watch for his sensory needs. But the bands aren’t the best.

My 7 yr old love this thing. He can keep track of his steps, how many active minutes he has, and his sleep. I LOVE that it keeps track of his chores AND I can set an alarm for when they are due. It goes off on his watch, and with his ADHD, the alarms really helps him stay on track. The app is great, super user friendly. My son loves earning coins, and "playing" through the adventures. Would absolutely recommend! They ALL can track steps, but what kids watch do you know of that can track chores! THANK you Vivofit Jr.

My daughter wanted something similar to her dad’s smart watch, and she settled on this. She enjoys tracking her chores and steps, and I admit though I wasn’t too interested in it, I like seeing her sleep patterns! So far it’s held up fine, no issues — but it’s only been a month.

So I've had this for about a week now and so far loving it. It's sooo amusing watching my 7 yr old son jump up and say, "I gotta take out the trash!" Or "I gotta vacuum my room!" Hes so excited to earn points toward one of the rewards I've set. I rigged it so if he does all his chores then every other day hes able to play his video games for a set time. Now hes not constantly asking to play video games, he knows he can just earn them over time. I put in smaller rewards he can earn within the day but he'd rather save up to play a video game. It's teaching him the value of money because everytime he spends all his points to play an hour of video games, that hour goes by so fast and he's suddenly saying, "Aw man, I should've saved up to get new legos." I have the app on the kids' tablet and theres a setting to put it in kid mode set they cant cheat and give themselves points. He just goes and checks off the chores he did and I approve them from my phone when I get a chance. This way he knows I wont just forget, it's all right there on the app waiting for my approval, and it's less stress for us both. I check the sleep tracker also to see how hes sleeping, when hes waking up. I made a chore schedule for him and put it on the fridge to help make it easier to see what needs to be done. He loves being able to set his own timers, too, and I get a notification he set a timer for however many minutes so theres no cheating there either. My own fitness tracker is a fitbit but after reading so many reviews, this is the best fitness tracker for kids, and I do have to agree. He enjoys the game on the little app and it doesnt take too much time at all for him to use up his "move" he earned for the game by being physically active. Oh, i bought this refurbished and it looks new to me. Theres still all the guarantees on it, so WHY NOT save the money?! Its swim proof, too, so my son showers with it and everything.
You can set alarms for the chores to remind your kid and you can pick an image for the alarm along with some brief text (it's a small screen, remember). Like "Brush" and a picture of toothbrushes to remind them to brush their teeth.
My kid is 7 so I got the adjustable band option so he doesnt outgrow it right away. Fits great.
Its only been a week and I feel like my son is a little robot automatically feeding the cat, picking up the toys at the end of the day, clearing the table before dinner, cleaning the bathroom....its awesome.
Update: Battery only lasted 4 months.
