Our system set up was to transmit to a speaker light i our kitchen which is away from out tv surround system. We have an older style Bose surround system that does not have Bluetooth Transmitting capability. However our system does have an optical sound output connection available.
This device also has receiver capabilities but that was not our intended purpose for acquiring.
Our initial setup of the device was a bit tricky and we had to reach out to the sellers website for some guidance. They were very quick to respond and assist us. I the end it turned out the existing optical sound cable we were using was a bit “heavy” for the transmitter as it seemed to pull away from the device just enough to lose the sound connection. We switched to the optical cable provided with the device(a lighter cable) and the issue was resolved.
We are very happy with the device as it fulfilled our needs. One added issue we had is this does have a very strong range. During set up we were getting connections from a neighbors TV. While it did not connect to our transmitter- the neighbor was able to see our device and just has to select Forget on his Bluetooth capable TV.

After some understanding of the directions., its awsome
Firs off, I can see where people are having issues with it not connecting to certain systems. I felt the same and the directions didnt fully state why, they do give an idea, the rest i figured it out. If you hold the top button down it goes into a menu where you can choose how to connect to devices. After I figured it out (And almost returned it) it works freakimg amazing i have a bunch of stuff connected to transmit through my reciever. And recieve through a couple of devices. I LOVE THIS THING. After i hated it..
