I was looking for a case for my surface as a traveling IT, I take it literally eveywhere. The problem I foresaw is the kickstand is pretty much soft plastic and the case is soft metal. When I have this thing on a rough surface, it's going to get beat up. (I sometimes have it with me balancing on a cart or rack)
I wanted something light weight with some minimal protection, but easy enough to snap off and work with my screen protector. I had another case that was so bulky I couldn't even plug a simple thunderbolt cable in.
I came across this unit in March and have fallen in love with it since. I use USB-C to charge since I have a pass through hub so I don't really use the channel. It's survived a lot of work and looks stunning with the clear back allowing the beauty of the back of the unit to show up. It feels less like a tablet/phone case where what's the point of color if you slap a black case on it.
I was pleased to find out they sold a navy version. As shallow as it seems, it fits my layout better. I love that the magnets for the KB hold on, and act as a sleep mode for the tablet.
My only real grip with the unit is when I bought my 2nd one, the price had increased from $31 to $45. I know it's supply chain and inflation, but nearly 50% increase in price is rough. This was the only company who makes a wonderful case like that so I'm glad to have a couple on hand. If they stand behind their no questions asked warranty, this is a must buy for me.
I haven't been disappointed with it and I haven't noticed any problems or overheating with it on
Definitely a product I've been pleased with and would likely buy again if they had one for a future surface pro.

Broke after 10 months usage
I bought this case for my Surface Pro 8 in June 2023, it’s now March 2024, so I’ve had it about 10 months now and it was great for all that time up until today… the bottom of the case snapped and broke.I was originally very excited to find this case because there are not many cases like this for the surface pros. I’m disappointed it broke… I don’t really want to buy this brands case again to replace it if it’s just going to break again.

This is an excellent case for the Surface Pro 8. It's not bulky and fits great. You can still use the kickstand with ease and the keyboard snaps in place without any issues. The case definitely offers great protection and keeps all the functionality of the tablet.
The one downside was that the openings for the USB-C are pretty small and didn't fit the USB adapter I had. If you have a USB adapter that has the standard USB-C housing, you won't have a problem. This case will not work with the USB-C micro adapters due to the size of the adapter housing.

If you have a surface pro 8 and want a case that fits, not excessively heavy or bulky Im not sure you can find one better than this. My signature keyboard has no issues fitting while open or folded to the back. The vents are great for air flow and the clear polymer windows in the back add a nice aesthetic to overal look. The composition of the material is nice, not cheap and helps with gripping. The front is raised above your surfaces screen which would help if you drop the tablet. Also theres shock absorption feature as well. I am very pleased with this case and am glad I pulled the trigger on this. My best purchase on Amazon so far. If you have a Surface Pro 8, buy it.
