Initial impressions: this is my 2nd ESR MagSafe wallet for my iPhone 14. My original purchase is the MagSafe wallet (adjustable). I decided to give the newest version power bank MagSafe wallet a try. Comes in a nice box with USB-C cables and easy to read instructions. Design is modern a sleek, simple with a power thin power tab and charging port, less bulky than I envisioned (similar in size to a generic powerbank). I attached a photo to compare the power bank wallet vs. my old MagSafe wallet. The wallet is capable of hold 2 cards, couldn’t squeeze a third. Shook it around with one credit card and didn’t fall out. Magnetic was adequately strong, also passing the shake test. The adjustable angle is less compared to the regular wallet but more than adequate for purpose of a stand when watching videos.
Pros:
-Small, light and easily portable (likely not carrying it in my pant pocket)
-strong magnet
-strong hinge to maintain desired angle position
Cons:
- only can hold 2 cards
- uncertain about casing material (plastic/metal?)

Aussehen und Haptik
Die grauen und schwarzen Farbtöne sind harmonisch abgestimmt und lassen die Powerbank hochwertig wirken. Die Powerbank hat links einen USB-C Anschluss, rechts einen Taster und unten fünf weiße Status-LEDs, die den Ladestand- und status anzeigen.
Die Vorderseite, an der das Handy haftet, fühlt sich weich an. An der Rückseite befindet sich das Wallet. Die Produktbeschreibung verspricht nicht zu viel - eine oder zwei Karten halten sicher im Wallet und lassen sich leicht entnehmen.
Das Wallet lässt sich abklappen, so dass ein Stand entsteht.
Das ganze Gerät wiegt mit 174 Gramm genau so viel mein iPhone 13, trägt also ordentlich auf.
Funktion der Powerbank
Die Powerbank lässt sich mit einem handelsüblichen USB-C-Netzteil mit dem beigefügten Ladekabel (beidseitig USB-C) laden. Anschließend kann man das mit Magsafe angeheftete Handy mit der Powerbank laden. Dabei wird das Handy warm. Man kann die Powerbank auch mit dem Kabel benutzen. Damit kann man prinzipiell alle Geräte laden, die netzteilseitig einen USB-C-Anschluss haben. Interessant ist die Passthrough-Funktion: das Handy mit Magsafe wird priorisiert geladen, während die Powerbank geladen wird.
Funktion des Stands
Das Handy wird stabil mit Magsafe gehalten. Das Scharnier hat einen angenehmen Widerstand und lässt sich in jede Position bis zu 70 Grad öffnen.
Fazit
Für mich ist das Gerät in erster Linie eine kleine Powerbank. Die Wallet- und Standfunktion sind nette Gimmicks, ersetzen bei mir aber nicht ein einfaches Wallet, denn das das Gerät ist recht schwer. Ohne Not würde ich es als Wallet nicht verwenden, sonder eben nur, wenn man auf die Extraportion Energie angewiesen ist. So ist es für unterwegs sehr praktisch und sieht dabei gut aus!
