    The reviews for this missed the mark. I almost didn't get it, but I have had good experiences with Mophie in the past, so I took a chance. For my use, it has been great. I was looking for a battery case compatible with Qi charging and CarPlay. I charge nightly, but I use my phone a lot. This fits the bill. Typically, I use it when it asks to switch to low power mode, and it charges the phone to just above halfway—this is more than enough for the rest of the day. Bonus, now I can charge from lightning and USB C. Also, it's super lightweight.

    Case at a full charge barely charged my iPhone from 33% to 54%. Not even 1/4 it’s battery... Absolute waste of money. Returning for full refund.

    Wireless charging as the ONLY way to charge the phone as opposed to direct connection just doesn’t seem very effective in a portable solution like this. The function itself leeches so much power to constantly emit the charging wirelessly that a 2,000 mAh case isn’t enough for 1/4 a phone charge. Gets hot easily, as one would expect with wireless charging. I had hoped perhaps the mixed reviews were just a quality control issue and that Mophie really had figured something out with this case to mitigate these issues, but really does just seem like a bad design flaw at heart, hindsight’s 20/20.

    May try the Apple smart case instead. Had one before with a previous iPhone and loved it. Pricier but not by much and at least I know it’ll do it’s job from prior experience.

    I like the mophie battery case as it can charge and protect your iPhone. I liked this one as you still have access to the lightening port. It has protected the iPhone from its minor bumps and short falls.

    The down side is that the mophie charges the phone wirelessly and can get quite warm especially if carrying it in a pants pocket. The second down side is that it does not give you a full recharge of the iPhone. If you start charging when iPhone is at 35% you might get a recharge to 65% to 68%.

    I switched from Apple battery case to this one. I thought the price would make it an easy decision. Wrong... this battery is awful. Barely adds 20% to my phone using normal use. My Apple battery will charge the phone at least a full charge with similar use. Just not worth having a battery case for that poor performance. Paying for the Apple version is a better value.
