OnePlus has long moved away from the "Flagship Killer" tag by increasing their prices to match the market. I had been using Poco F1(an actual flagship killer) for 3 years before shifting to this 10 days ago, so my expectations for value for money were pretty high. And this phone has delivered on all expectations.
Starting off, the most impressive part is the battery life coupled with the charging speed. 65W Warp Charge is just crazy fast. I am a college student with a lot of time in my hands due to the lockdown, so with fairly heavy usage, it gets me through the day very easily. I am left with around 20% charge when I wake up in the morning and plug it in. Goes to 100% in about 20-25mins maximum.
The 120Hz AMOLED display is super-responsive, and smooth. Always-on works great, and it works perfectly in direct sunlight. The improved haptic motor took some time getting used to. Not the best, but at this price, I am not complaining.
The under-screen FP reader works very smoothly, and fast. I still don't understand why phones moved away from having a back or side-mounted reader which was even faster, but anyway. This works well. Won't work if your hands are wet, so maybe turn on face unlock as well.
Cameras have always been sort of a non-essential point with OP devices. I found the camera to be decent. I am reviewing the camera based off the fact that I'm not going to use it for shooting a movie or professional photography. Most pictures I click will be for either sharing on social media, or for my memories. And for those reasons, the camera is great enough. Nightscape is sometimes not the best, but it will return great pictures is most other conditions. The ultrawide is also good enough. Selfie camera is decent for most uses. You can always install a GCam mod to improve camera performance with Pixel's image processing algorithms.
OxygenOS, as always, is extremely seamless and comfortable. No qualms there whatsoever.
Minor CONS:
Some people have pointed out heating issues. I personally haven't felt it that prominently. Yes, the device does heat up if I play COD for 30-40mins but that is natural, bound to happen.
Speakers are loud. On full volume, they're loud enough to fill a big room. I have to keep my ringer volume at the halfway mark, because it is so loud. There is some distortion at the higher levels though.
The back is a bit too slippery for my taste, and makes me paranoid to think it might slip. But the TPU case (included in box) works well. I have now slapped the OnePlus Sandstone case on, so it is very comfortable.

Sorry for the long review, but this would be a 10/10 device if not for the slightly average camera and the lack of multiple 5G band support. (Overall 8.6/10)

Overall amazing phone. Don't think too much. Just go for it. U won't hv any regrets. I hope this review was helpful. I literally read a lot about different phones and came down to this one and I don't regret my decision.

Now, let's discuss about the device (positive points):
1. Oneplus 9R device has the potential to perform better, only some tweaks in the software is required to improve its performance to the best.
2. Overall the build quality of the device is very good, I have bought the carbon black 8gb / 128 gb variant and it seems to perform well. The device has got Snapdragon 870 chipset which performs well.
3. I have played Call of duty mobile at full high graphics settings and the device worked flawlessly, without any lags or crash.
4. Battery backup is also good, you get 1.5 days of backup when moderately used and approx 1 day of backup when heavy used.
5. No lags or issues found till now in UI.
6. It got quite warm during the setup but as soon as I reduced the brightness of the device, it felt not much warm but it is obvious for the device to get warm because lots of processing is going on in the background and also the device is set to 120 hz refresh rate.
Don't go for negative comments, some people are dumb (except few who are genuinely facing issue with the device) as they don't know how to use smartphones.
