FitBit doesn't stand behind their garbage products

Absolute garbage! I got the Special Edition a year and a half ago and it just died. Fitbit Support can't fix it, and there is no repair service. They won't replace it because the warranty is only 1 year, because they know the product is trash.

This is the second Special Edition fitbit watch we bought that died just after warrany expiration. The first one was the Ionic. Fitbit devices are all garbage, and so is their whole company. They don't stand behind their products.

Read the FitBit forums before you buy any of their devices. They are rife with complaints exactly the same as mine. FitBit doesn't care at all.

The Fitbit Charge 3 is an excellent fitness tracker and has well surpassed my expectations. The tracker is neat, comfortable and very useful. When deciding between this and the Versa, whilst the versa has more features, I chose this because of its smaller form factor, since I have smaller wrists.

Some of the key features include auto exercise tracking, which has been fantastic for not losing my stats after I forget to press start on a run. I have found the heart rate to be pretty accurate and have tested against other heart rate monitors.

I had mixed results with the sleep tracking, some nights it said I've slept 4 hours and other nights 10 hours, which both are incorrect, a friend who bought the same model a few months later, has no issues with this and her Fitbit shows a consistent 7-9 hours sleep each night. After contacting Fitbit support (who are very helpful!) they gave me some tips, I used to loosen it before sleeping, now I keep it the same tightness as during the day and the results are much more consistent.

Other features include the relax/breathing tool, I haven't used this much, but others might find it a useful tool. Fitbit pay on the special edition is great, so handy to not have to get wallet or phone out pocket, especially whilst on a run.

For the special edition, two straps with both sizes come in the box, I found the original strap too hard and it dug into my wrist leaving marks, I wasn't a fan of the white one, so bought the black sports strap which is much more comfortable and has enabled me to tighten it without any discomfort.

Overall this tracker has really helped my health, the reminders to get up and move once an hour have been really great and being able to track water, does help too. If your looking for a fitness tracker and can't decide which one to get, you won't regret getting a Charge 3.

J'ai un Huawei Y6 dual sim, il n'est pas marqué dans les appareils compatibles mais je n'ai aucun problème avec ! La synchro nickel! La mise en route rapide après la 1er mise à jour de 30 minutes. L'appli simple et efficace avec tous ce qu'il me faut ! Moi j'adore !
Les petits plus : la météo et le suivi du cycle ! Bon ça fait 3 jours. Je corrigerai s'il faut.

Par rapport au Charge 2 dont je ne me séparais jamais, ce charge 3 est (enfin !) étanche, son autonomie est doublée et son analyse du sommeil a été améliorée, mais elle n'est pas encore parfaite.
Pour ce qui est de la première mise en place, tout est clair, mais la première mise à jour du Charge est tellement longue qu'elle en devient inquiétante.
Pour ce qui est du fonctionnement au quotidien, j'apprécie vraiment l'environnement Fitbit. L'appli est très complète et simple à utiliser, et on peut par exemple facilement renommer les activités pratiquées.

Car on arrive à son principal point faible : l'absence de GPS. Sans lui, il ne faut pas espérer avoir une détection fiable des activités.
Ce bracelet se destine donc aux sportifs occasionnels, ou aux personnes voulant surveiller leur hygiène de vie (nombre de pas quotidiens, sommeil, etc.). Dans ce cas là, elle excelle.

Dernier détail, dans l'édition spéciale blanche, un deuxième bracelet noir est bien fourni dans la boîte.

Had the product for approx. 3 months now, which I feel is ample time to give my thoughts and opinions on the product. Ill start by saying that I haven't used any other 'activity trackers' previously. Have used an android smartwatch previously, but of course, thats a different ballpark (few leagues down).

Overall am very satisfied with the Fitbit Charge 3 and would recommend it to those who either are into fitness/sports or are getting into it - some may say get a cheap noname one, but having seen some in my family do that, I wouldn't recommend it. The feature set and implementation of hardware and especially software put this miles ahead.

The Charge 3 is comfortable on my wrist, and unobtrusive during the day, when sleeping and during activity or sports. I enjoy the waterproofness of the product as it allows me to give it a proper clean every couple of days - using this for sport and wearing it more or less 24/7 means the area where the sensors sit and your wrist aren't exactly clean. Notifications work well on my Android device, although quick replies I have found not to work 100% using WhatsApp. You can customise the autoresponses which is good.

The device has sustained a few knocks and whacks and so far seems to be standing strong with no visible signs of damage or fatigue. Where the Charge 3 really impresses me is with its HR and sleep tracking - very insightful, and appears to be reasonably accurate - the sleep tracking is much better and accurate compared to the Flex 2 (brothers tracker). The software is really easy to use, simply to set up, and generally one of the nicer UIs/experiences. Battery lasts me 6 days, consistently. Will go into the 7th day but requires a charge at that point. Impressed with speed of charging too, within 2hours up to 100%, with about 80% being charged within an hour?

Have recently got the Aria 2 which supplements this well!

He usado una Fitbit Charge 2 durante 2 años y medio hasta que “murió”. Soy un treintañero que va al gimnasio asiduamente y hace deporte de alta intensidad, por lo que le dí mucha caña a la pulsera y necesitaba otra pulsera de actividad para monitorizar mis entrenamientos.

Estuve viendo varias pulseras de actividad entre ellas: la Huawei Honor Band 4, porque fue la pulsera de actividad del año 2018; la Xiaomi Mi Band 3, que la descarte directamente por que la Band 4 tiene muchas más funcionalidades y mejores opiniones; y por último, la Fitbit Charge 3, por que la anterior me dio buen resultado, tenía todas las estadísticas en mi perfil y las mejoras evolutivas que había tenido. Me decidí por esta última sin darle importancia a las opiniones negativas.

El tamaño en la muñeca es exactamente el mismo que la Charge 2, por lo que me he adaptado a ella al instante. Es mucho más ligera al ser el cuerpo de aluminio. El diseño se ha refinado y ajustado para Fitbit Charge 3, por lo que se ve menos gruesa en tu muñeca. La pantalla no tiene bordes por lo que es mucho mayor que en la Charge 2 y se ve mucho mejor por que se ha incrementado su resolución. Aunque por ahorrar en batería sigue siendo en blanco y negro.

La Charge 3 tiene mucha más potencia y características que su predecesora, como una aplicación tiempo, cronómetro o alarma. La duración de la batería es excelente y aguanta perfectamente los 7 días que promete haciendo un uso intensivo de ella.

La configuración inicial es bastante sencilla con pocos pasos. Mi movil personal es el Huawei Mate 10, que no está incluido en la lista de dispositivos compatibles con Fitbit, pero funciona a la perfección, incluso mucho más rápido en la sincronización que con la Charge 2. La actualización del firmware de la pulsera tardo casi 1 hora.

Un cambio importante en la interfaz es que la pantalla pasa a ser táctil. Por lo que podemos pasar de sección haciendo deslizamientos horizontales y verticales con el dedo. El cambio entre secciones es rápido y no se aprecia ningún retraso en la interfaz.

Las características son mucho más extensas. Se puede elegir entre 15 diseños diferentes de tipo de reloj. Yo he elegido una que me muestra de un simple vistazo la hora, pasos recorridos, ritmo cardiaco, calorías quemadas y distancia recorrida.

Con un movimiento hacia arriba podemos ver nuestras estadísticas diarias. Permite registrar y visualizar muchas estadísticas en la propia pulsera, sin tener que meterte en la propia aplicación de Fitbit. Un punto negativo es que no permite ordenar o eliminar ningúnlos campo de estadísticas que no nos interese o no utilicemos en la pulsera.

Con un movimiento hacia abajo podemos ver las notificaciones que nos han llegado al móvil. Funcionan perfectamente. Al llegar al movil, automaticamente llegan a la Fitbit a los pocos segundos. La forma de mostrar las notificaciones es más útiles en la Charge 3, de un simple vistazo podremos ver la notificación en nuestra pulsera. Además, podemos configurar respuestas rápidas para los mensaje de whatsapp si no podemos usar nuestro teléfono en ese momento. El problemaLa única pega es que esta sección está siempre activa aunque tengas deshabilitado las notificaciones.

Con un movimiento lateral hacia la izquierda tienes las demás funciones. Para volver hacia atrás, la Charge 3 incorpora de un botón inductivo que no se ve a simple vista, pero es muy intuitivo y funciona muy bien.

Al igual que la Charge 2, tiene un monitor de frecuencia cardíaca, pasos, calorías, sueño y seguimiento de múltiples deportes. También puede detectar automáticamente el ejercicio, por lo que no necesitará habilitar manualmente la mayoría de los modos.

El modo ejercicio incluye la funcionalidad de establecer el objetivo que queremos conseguir en esa sesión: distancia o calórico. Podemos establecer 6 ejercicios que podemos iniciar manualmente desde la app entre 15 configurables.

Además, tiene una sección de configuración donde podremos personalizar el brillo de la pantalla, si queremos que vibre la pulsera con las notificaciones, que nos mida el ritmo cardiaco constantemente, si queremos recibir notificaciones por la noche, borrar los datos del usuario, reiniciar el dispositivo, que la pantalla se ilumine cuando hagamos el giro de muñeca y desactivar las notificaciones del teléfono.

Un plus que tiene la Charge 3 Edición Especial, es poder pagar con en los comercios directamente con la pulsera. No hace falta tener el teléfono encima para realizar pagos, directamente hace un clonado de la tarjeta bancaria en la Charge 3. Es muy segura por que cada vez que la quieras usar tienes que meter un PIN, que has configurado previamente. No necesitas nada encima para poder pagar.

La novedad de la Charge 3 es que es resistente al agua, por lo que puedo meterme en la piscina o ducharme con ella.

El Charge 3 tampoco incluye el GPS integrado. En su lugar, utiliza el GPS conectado al teléfono para saber la ruta que hemos recorrido en los entrenamientos de ciclismo o correr. Por lo que tengo que estar conectado al teléfono si quiero tener un seguimiento de la ruta.

Fitbit Charge 3 también ofrece una función de salud femenina, como el seguimiento de la ovulación. Estoy deseando que llegue la actualización que habilita la funcionalidad de SpO2.

Actualización: Con la actualización a Android 10 me ha dejado de sincronizar la pulsera con la aplicación. Con la anterior versión de android me funcionaba perfectamente, pero cuando mi movil se ha actualizado ha dejado de funcionar. Llevo meses sin tener una actualización del firmware de la pulsera. Y se me ha llegado a descargar la pulsera por completo y la hora la tengo desfasada y no la puedo poner bien al no tener sincronización con la app. No comprar.
