Just what I needed

Just what I needed
I have been travel painting for a few years. Gradually gaining confidence. I nearly always did not include people as I wasn't successful at it.I had the book five minutes when I decided to paint a person underwater. I drew this freehand in a couple of minutes. Can't wait to start painting. My fear of drawing people is gone. BTW I'm 69 years old. I don't know how other non children draw people but this is all I needed.

My 13 year old’s figure drawing has greatly improved with this book. Some figure drawing books don’t have appropriate pictures for kids but this one is perfect and the figures are modest.

I have been trying to learn how to draw children, but they were turning out like stick people in clothes. I have been through the book and see that the principles of perspective will be very helpful.

I love this book !!! Its perfect for children and any age group that's a beginner artist wanting to improve the way they draw. I know one book can't give you everything you need BUT this book can seriously give you an advantage at saving your money on anatomy books that are boring and puts it in a simple way :D yet helpful because the artist is a professional and its obvious!!! There is principales of movement in even the most "simple" shapes the artist uses to teach us. This book reminds you that there is people/artists out there that want you to learn and don't put the money first but the techniques and love for art first. I cannot say everything the book has but if you're an adult this may just simplify and give you the confidence you need to learn a better way to make art look alive than any lengthy and boring adult book.

I bought this book as a gift for my nephew (age 15). I glanced thru it when it arrived and I must say it seems fairly advanced for the recommended ages of 9-12! I have passed it on to him and hope he'll find it fun. I did tell him I thought it was fairly tough. But he is very smart and an honors student at his high school, so he may find it too easy and put my concerns to rest! I'm thinking I'll get a copy for myself and see if I can do what is asked because I was never very good at drawing and sketching. Onward and upward I go!

5.0 out of 5 stars No solo para niños
Reviewed in Spain on May 14, 2023

Bought this for my 7-year-old daughter that loves drawing/sketching. She loves it and uses it daily. I can really see her improving her skills and easily follow the instructions in the book even though our mother tongue is not English.
