+1 for out of the box performance.
The 2 fans that sit atop the heat sink are incredibly quiet with the layout of my PC, even at 100%. Note though I do have a couple Noctua Industrial 3000 rpm's in my case though which produce more noise than your standard case fan, so honestly I hear my Noctuas over the GPU fans even when they are running at higher speeds. Just thought I'd mention this. The heat sink itself is very high quality aluminum/copper I believer, not quite sure on the materials but before I put the GPU onto my motherboard, I inspected it and was very surprised at the quality of the fans and the heat sink itself. Much better than I expected. Because this card as has an awesome heat sink/fan layout it will keep your card healthy and give it more longevity.
+1 for GPU Cooling.
This GPU oozes quality from the sexy looking yet sturdy back plate, the 2 dual ball barring fans, the heat sink, the impressive RGB lighting, all of it. Very high attention to detail. Evga really did their homework and it shows! I was surprised at how well this card was constructed. The card has dual BIOS with a switch built right onto the card itself that is easy to get to allowing you to do lots of things as well as should you encounter an issue with your OC you can easily get back to defaults. Real quick wanted to touch back on the RGB this card offers, they are awesome haha, the card has lights on the side and bottom that you can program to do all kinds of fun stuff using Nvidia's LED Visualizer software that syncs right up with EVGA's Precision X OC software. Lot's of fun combinations to experiment with that you can sync the lights up with your GPU tempts, fan speeds, music and more. I didn't buy it for the lighting but I didn't realize how much depth it had to it though, so I thought I'd mention it.
+1 for Overall GPU Construction/Layout.
Best part though seriously might not even be the card but the EVGA company itself which says a lot. 24/7 customer service with American speaking individuals, with short waiting times. If you register your card (and you should!) via their website you get priority services should you have to contact them which further expedites the process and ensures you get the best customer service as they'll have all your information in front of them already before you even speak to the representative. They're non VIP service is great too honestly and is not a necessity by any means but after registering my product and making an account, I noticed with the VIP access that the process was much more streamlined and easier on me as I didn't need a ton of information to throw around before I could ask questions. I must of contacted EVGA a hand full of times and each time I hung up feeling satisfied and happy I chose EVGA over other companies out there. Best customer service in the business. I kind of wish I purchased my motherboard through them too but now I know when I go to upgrade it! I got a PSU and a GPU for now and at least with those items I know I am taken care of should I have issues.
+1 on Customer Service.
Lastly, as it is least important but good to know is the quality of the packaging that the GPU was shipped in. The box was wrapped in thick clear plastic, then you have your outer box which is thin and your inner box which is thick. Opening the inner box you immediately have this nice black envelope that has all your product information, manual, and the like. I got 3 stickers, 2 large stickers and 1 metal sticker to place on your PC. Another really cool thing I got was a full sized poster! I love posters and I totally was not expecting one with this purchase and to top it off, the poster itself is totally my style, so I got it laminated and it's up on my wall haha! Under the envelope with all these goodies the card itself sits snug inside high quality black styrofoam on all sides. The card is also packaged in a thick, static free bag to prevent static damage. All the plugs (hdmi/ds/dvi) were covered with high quality rubber inserts. They didn't leave any stone un-turned, their attention to quality is everywhere with this card. From the packaging, performance, style, construction, cooling and customer service. They really made me feel like my money went to the right place and left me with zero buyers regret. The only complaint on the packaging is my GPU didn't come with the software CD, but it was no big deal to go onto Evga.com and grab the drivers and all that. I am not even sure if it's supposed to come with a CD, but I was expecting one though again, was no big deal.
+1 for Packaging.
A+++ Company. A+++ Customer Care. A+++ Quality GPU. A+++ Performance. Highly recommend! If you need a powerful 1080 and want it backed by amazing customer service and a stellar manufactures warranty, BUY THIS GPU! Hard to find such good companies in this day and age and it is such a wonderful feeling when you do. It was like Christmas, I was surprised numerous times with this purchase. They care as much as you do about their products and it shows. Very impressed. I seriously love EVGA now. I am so happy I chose them for my GPU needs. I just wish I knew how good Evga was before buying my Asus motherboard last month! I thought Evga only did PSU's! So I bought an Asus mobo and an Asus 1070 which I returned because it was defective. Oh well, now I know for the future. Seriously, if I wasn't broke right now I would switch out the motherboard for an Evga board in a heartbeat just to support them and know that I have the best support in the business. Next time I do upgrades, Evga all the way for everything!
Thanks for reading my review. Have a wonderful day!

1. Case: Thermaltake Versa N21 Translucent Panel ATX Mid Tower Window Gaming Computer Case Cases CA-1D9-00M1WN-00 - This case is a simple sleek design that will help protect the vital components from her younger sister's tiny fingers.
2. Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1, 80+ GOLD 650W, Fully Modular, 10 Year Warranty, Includes FREE Power On Self Tester, Power Supply 120-G1-0650-XR - This power supply was one of the highest rates, quality built, cost effective supplies available.
3. Motherboard: Gigabyte LGA 1151 Z170 2-Way SLI UEFI DualBIOS ATX DDR4 ATX DDR4 NA Motherboards GA-Z170XP-SLI - We chose this Motherboard because it will allow us to add up to three m.2 SSD hard drives at a later date, perhaps her birthday.
4. Processor: Intel Core i5 6600K 3.50 GHz Quad Core Skylake Desktop Processor, Socket LGA 1151, 6MB Cache (BX80662I56600K) - Every computer needs a good processor. Intel currently leads in performance (Sorry AMD)
5. Heat Sink: ARCTIC Freezer Xtreme Rev. 2 CPU Cooler - Intel & AMD, Twin-Tower Heatsink, 120mm PWM Fan - Heatsinks are important to help transfer heat away from the processor and help to avoid it from overheating. Water cooling is very effective but introduce additional points of failure. We chose this because she isn't heavy into gaming but it will allow her to explore.
6. Ram: Corsair memory kit 16.0 DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) (QTY:2) - 32gb of ram is a bit overkill but provides additional room for growth.
7. Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card 08G-P4-6183-KR - This video card it is a bit of overkill for her, a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 3GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Cards 03G-P4-6160-KR is more affordable and in line with her fascination for World of Warcraft.
8. Hard Drive: Seagate 1TB BarraCuda SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive (ST1000DM010) - Seagate makes a quality product, I have used them for years. I have a network drive with one of their hard drives that has been running since 2009. 1TB is sufficient for her needs.
9. Optical Drive: LG Electronics 14x SATA Blu-ray Internal Rewriter without Software, Black (WH14NS40) - This is only needed if she has a need for playing/recording DVD or Blu-ray discs. To watch Blu-ray movies will require purchasing additional software.
10. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit - I prefer to use to the professional versions of windows as it allows me greater control of the operating system and aides in the monitoring and protection of the system from the youngins'
11. Antivirus: Norton Security Premium - 10 Devices [Key Card ] - I use Nortons to help protect all of my computers for one low cost. There is only one computer in our household with a different AV and i've had to clean a couple viruses off of it.

I ordered it for $650 CAD back in April 2017. You might want to be careful at what price you buy at because they will fluctuate.
It does 1080p gaming at Maximum settings with all games I can throw at it. I can also do 4K gaming with medium to very high settings depending on the game. I do not have a 4K monitor yet so I have not been able to test native 4K yet workloads/gaming. I have a 1080p monitor and I currently make use of Nvidia's Dynamic Screen Resolution (DSR) tech which allows me to play games at 4K resolutions but on my 1080p monitor.
The fan of the card is quiet for idle or low usage. However, since it is a blower style fan (single fan sucking air from the case and blowing to the back of the card), it can get noticeably loud when on high workloads.
In conclusion, this card will definitely run almost all modern day games. However, you should do your research to find out if this card is actually what you need. If you do not intend to push 4K resolution workloads/gaming, you could buy a lower tier card (GTX 1060 or RX 580) for 1080p performance.

Did try to use the adapter for 2 x 6 PCI-E cables into an 8 for the GPU, but power to the card was unstable to the point of it turning itself on and off. Just hooking it up directly to a 6+2 from the PSU was a definite improvement.
If you're playing with internal LED colours, keep in mind the the SC version of this card only does white.
If this review were to cover Amazon's delivery for this, I'd knock three stars off. Ridiculously long waits for an item 'in stock' and held by Amazon themselves. The price variations during the wait, and after Amazon has taken payment from your bank account, just adds extra salt.
Like the good build quality and the cards keeps cool even after a long gaming session.
