Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is great game, graphics and gameplay. Just ignore the reviews of those who rate products Basky based only on a small issue with price. This game is amazing.
I ordered this game with the description in the title "NEW & SEALED!". However, the game was not new nor sealed. It was re-sealed woth a bit of plastic but certainly opened and used. I paid more for it thinking it was new. The game disc is fortunately in very good condition, but I feel cheated.
Slated by some as one of the worst Zelda titles released (who these people are I don't know but I'd wager they're absolutely bonkers) is the Wind Waker: HD edition! First thing to mention out of the gate; this is NOT a remake, I cannot stress this enough. This is a HD re-release; I just want to make that clear as these are two very different things!
So what's new? Well for a start the game runs in a glorious 1080p resolution and looks absolutely gorgeous. The frame rate is 30FPS, but it's stable and doesn't detract from the visuals or game play in the slightest.
The Wii U gamepad possibly adds the most useful feature to the game, enabling Link to swap out his items on the fly and save progress without needing to pause and also displays all of those pesky Wind Waker melodies that you'll never have to commit to memory again. The Wii U gamepad's gyroscope is also usable to aim Link's bow, grapple hook or hookshot however having this setting enabled can mess with your manual aiming and quite frankly is nothing more than a pointless gimmick.
The Tingle Tuner is now gone due to the Game Boy Advance's absence in modern gaming and is replaced by Tingle Bottles! These bottles enable players to throw messages out in the great sea for other players to find, offering hints, musings and even selfies for your enjoyment.
Nintendo obviously listened to fan's criticisms of the original title and have reworked some of the game mechanics to address these issues. The big kahuna of these has to be the Triforce quest 'nerf'. No longer will you have to endlessly sail the great sea in search of chart after chart just to get robbed blind by that poser Tingle! Now you only get robbed for three charts. Hooray! A new item which has been added to this edition goes by name of 'The Swift Sail'. This can be acquired so that you never have to change wind direction as the sail will enable you to travel at max speed regardless. The grappling hook animation has also been shortened to avoid wasting time pulling it back up after missing that illusive chest. Whilst in the boat the sail is now always bound to the A button releasing the need to have it equipped as an item, as with the bomb cannon and grapple hook which are bound to the D-pad for easy bombardment and salvaging.
Lastly we have Hero mode! This addition was first added into Skyward Sword and it adds an extra hard injection of difficulty into what quite frankly, is a fairly easy game. Enemies and the environment no longer offer you recovery hearts, meaning that Link can only replenish his life through the use of consumables such as fairies and potions. Be warned, this setting is not for the faint of heart!
So as you can see while not a re-make of the original game the HD edition adds much needed content to an already fantastic title, and those of you who haven't played this game in a few years will be falling in love with it all over again. To those of you who haven't played it yet - What are you waiting for? Dive right in!
Be warned this product is falsely advertised, you will not be getting the original release of this game, if you collect wiiU games and want the original cover order elsewhere. This is the cheaper Nintendo select version which you can pick up for much cheaper from other stores. I ordered this great game think I would get the original printing, was very disappointed and have returned.
That said the game itself is excellent and worth owning and playing
