Product Description

Three nations battle for control over the realm of Norzelia in Square Enix’s newest HD-2D adventure

Command a group of warriors as Serenoa, heir of House Wolffort, in a tangled plot where your decisions make all the difference. Key choices you make will influence the story and outcome of this grand conflict. When faced with truly momentous decisions, your advisors will weigh in by casting their votes on the Scales of Conviction. Persuade them before their vote is cast to help forge you own path ahead. Remember, your allies and decisions can change the fate of Norzelia itself.

Control multi-tiered battlefields to strategically secure victory

Finding the best location in turn-based battles can tip the tide of combat in your favor. Position units on higher ground to take control of the battlefield and gain the advantage. You can also flank enemies on both sides, then strike from behind for a powerful follow-up attack. Elemental chain reactions are also an important part of combat. For example, use fire to melt icy terrain, then use lightning to electrocute it. See sparks fly in stunning HD-2D visuals as you shock any opponents sanding in the water!

Bolster your convictions and discover multiple paths through the story

Each decision you make will bolster one of three convictions—Utility, Morality, or Liberty—which together make up Serenoa’s worldview and influence who will join you and lend their talents to your army. Each party member has a range of distinct skills, so consider which convictions might attract certain characters. Play through the game multiple times to see how other choices impact the adventure.

Absolutely SUPERB!!!

Absolutely SUPERB!!!
It's been a long time since an SRPG I've played hit this hard. Probably Fire Emblem Awakening on 3DS back in 2013 (that was 9 years ago, wow!). So why is Triangle Strategy so good? Multiple reasons, but I'll try to convey a few.The story is exceptionally compelling. Far more so than I ever anticipated. I love Fire Emblem to death. But this game has the story I've always wanted Fire Emblem to have. It's just soooo good! The battles have immaculate strategy gameplay. It feels so much more "strategic" than Fire Emblem. And that's not to bash FE, because I love that series, but there's no denying Triangle Strategy has much more depth. From archers gaining accuracy the more off angle they are from the front, to gaining range and power from elevation (and the reverse if at lower elevation), from elemental mages having AoE attacks which some enemies are weak to, to combos with elemental attacks such as freezing AoE, then Fire to melt the icy ground and turning to water, then Electric attacks traveling through the wet ground, to follow up attacks activating when sandwiching enemies with your units... the sheer complexity and depth on offer is staggering, yet, still rather user friendly. The characters are rich and multifaceted, grounded in reality and well voiced (speaking of which, nearly all dialog is voiced, which makes Triangle Strategy all the more immersive). Each character has good qualities and flaws, personal motivations and agendas, and there are so many characters spanning the Kingdoms and so many plot points developing simultaneously across the kingdom, it's never a dull moment. And the story... oh the story. It's remarkably gripping and almost pulls you inside the world with it. I feel like I'm in Norzelia myself. I've grown attached to these characters. I know them. I feel for them. I cheer their accomplishments and squirm at their dilemmas. This is the most spellbound I've felt from a story in a video game in years. Not even modern AAA games with professional voice acting, facial capture and focus on realism have managed to captivate me in the same way Triangle Strategy has managed to with nothing but 2D sprites and B-list voice actors. It's a testament to the cohesive narrative and vision of the developers.Idk what it is specifically, but something about this game makes it far more than the sum of its parts. It just hits hard, in a way I haven't felt since Fire Emblem Awakening (and yes, I enjoyed Three Houses also, even Fates and Shadows of Valentia, but FE Awakening just hit in a way those games didn't- not saying it's "better" necessarily, just that, like Triangle Strategy, it too came together as more than the sum of its parts).I cannot recommend this game enough. There is a lot of dialog. For sure. But to me, that's part of what makes it so engrossing. Because it's actually good dialog, good narrative, good plot development. Not wack C-tier JRPG tropey shenanigans, but genuine gritty story that almost feels reminiscent of Game of Thrones, strangely enough. It's a slow burn, but one that I can't help but savor.

Triangle Strategy is awesome, everything about this game will pull you in. The characters, the story, the dialogue it’s all done without photorealistic graphics but the HD 2D graphics are gorgeous. There is quite a bit of dialogue but it’s done very well and is needed to understand the story and the importance of each character. Don’t be fooled by the meta critic scores either, 83 although still very good this game far passes that and deserves much better imo. If you like Fire Emblem you will love this game. It’s hard to explain but this game is just so good it’s hard to put down and when you are done you can go back and play it differently. If you are an sure there is a demo that goes up to chapter 3 but again if you think there is too much dialogue in demo you might want to get anyway if that was only complaint because after that the game opens up more and you can battle as much as you want using mock battles to level up for the main fights. I’m not the best reviewer but all I know is I love this game so I’m go play it right now.

Writing this after just finishing the game. I absolutely could not put it down. Likable characters, smart gameplay, good replay value with New Game+ and different decisions to make which have an effect on your path in the game. It’s not possible to see everything on your first play-through so I’ll definitely be coming back to it at some point.

It’s been a long time since a tactics game really held my attention like Triangle Strategy did. Not as deep in customization as some other games in the genre, but I enjoy the simplification and streamlining to make the game more accessible to even those that haven’t played a tactics game before.

If I have one complaint, it’s that it seems like the game goes too long between main battles. Luckily there are mock battles you can do in the encampment to help with that, but even those are very few (about one per main chapter).

Overall a fantastic game that looks great and plays well with only a small amount of frame dips when a bunch of stuff is going on. Pick this up if you are interested in trying your first tactical rpg, or are already a fan of the genre.

Well square you've done it again. This is truly a wonderful game that keeps the strategy rpg roots intact while keeping a nostalgic feel.
Like most I felt compelled to compare this to final fantasy tactics that was released on the original Playstation. The game is very good but not quite as good as FFT or at least it doesn't hold the same feel, but that is a good thing!
The most notable aspect is the stroy and their is a lot of it! At first I was wanting to skip scenes due to their length and get to the battle but the story is really good and the voices while not great do move the story along and help get a real feel for the characters. Another thing is how whe you loose a character, they are not gone forever. (Unlike Fire Emblem)
The game is a challenge too but I like that! Levels of characters are often kept on par with the story so your grinding isn't necessary but the game gives you the option to do so with mock battles.
This game is for experienced tactics players and newbies who are willing to learn via a lot of trial and error.
I would give this game a 9/10. So close to perfect.

Para quem curte rpg tático é fantástico, ótimo game seguindo os passos de Octopath Traveler. Viciante e relembra muita coisa boa de Disgaea e Final Fantasy Tatics.
