I recently received my renewed Surface Book. The physical condition is excellent. No noticeable marks. The operation of the computer itself has been snappy any issues. The charger that was shipped became extremely hot when charging. I contacted customer service right away by email and they responded within an hour and replaced the charger with a Microsoft charger which was shipped out that same day and I received a couple days later and have had no issues. I am very happy with purchase and experience.

Computer itself was in pretty good shape and arrived as promptly. However, the track pad did not work properly and the track pad was sticking up a bit at the bottom. There was also a loose or “extra” part sliding around in the bottoms of the computer. You could hear it slide when the computer was turned from side to side. The company that “refurbished” this machine should keep a little closer watch on their quality control before sending these high dollar items out the door. People purchase these type of items to we ready to use out of the box and not have to call and navigate a fix or make an immediate return.

bought the i7, 500gb, 16mb ram. the surface works like new. haven't had any issues with it. the pen does come with it, however mine arrived separately because they had ran out. the only issue I have had is with the charger not working. I tried to get it exchanged but cant get them to respond any more to me. hopefully your experience is better but over all I'm happy with the purchase.
