The spec is fine, but the model is different with this picture. This picture I think is previous model(2017)The laptop is 2018 model, which has different portsso it only has 3 USB plug + fingerprint, which is a little uselessNOT 4 USB plug as picture shows, which was one of the reason I bought it.And there is no other HDMI or mini HDMI for connecting monitor. so it makes 3 USB even more harder to useI would prefer got a HDMI or USB port instead of fingerprint

This laptop was the perfect compromise for size, weight, performance and price. We were looking for a small form laptop, with touchscreen and a dedicated GPU for light gaming. It will soon be off to college with my daughter, so we wanted something she can easily take to class. Our initial evaluation has been perfect, her games run great, the laptop is very professional looking and everything runs quick. If the specs meet your needs, this is a great small computer.

NOT 4 USB plug as picture shows, which was one of the reason I bought it.

In terms of performance, this laptop is the best computer I have ever touched have in my life: cheap, blazing fast, sleek, light, could multi task a lot. However, it heats up a lot. It reached 85C (185F) while just watching 4k videos on youtube, and reached . Definitely not acceptable as I plan using this on programs such as solidworks, a lot of matlab, python and engineering programs which would use a lot of memory. I hate to return this almost perfect equipment but I would. I literally have to carry a laptop cooling pad with me all the time.

I got one of this from Costco and there is hardware failure within 60 days. Honestly, I even had not used this much. All of my critical documents are lost. HP wants to repair it but I am not as I am not sure how long will it work after repair. I recommend to avoid purchasing this device. Well I am under 90 day purchase period, I will be returning this device back in Costco.

Overall, this model has very good specs for the price. The next comparable item with an 8th gen i7 processor plus a 4k screen and 2GB dedicated graphics would be at least a couple hundred dollars more.

If you're a pixel nerd like me, you will definitely notice screen dots on the display. Nonetheless, the problem goes away if you sit far enough back from the screen (plus you can always connect to an external monitor). I've had the product for about a week now and would rate this purchase an 8.5/10 but still satisfied due to the amazing hardware. Battery life logged in at around 4-5 hours with regular use.
