First is the camera quality. The replacement refurbished phone looked more grainy. Looking side by side, there was a clear difference when looking at the phone closely. Actual image quality, I cant confirm.
Once I noticed the camera quality difference, I then turned both phones to standby mode and noticed the bezel on the refurbished phone was a significantly more defined shade of black; very obvious in the sunlight! This is indicative of a replaced screen (and confirmed my suspicion of this after wiping it down with alcohol wipes and seeing suction marks on the screen, which is how it would have been held in place during replacement.)
Next is the screen quality itself; Significantly worse than apple factory standard screen. (See pictures - Original Iphone on right, refurbished on the left). The colour is off, the blacks are weird shades, you can see individual pixels with the naked eye, it looks blurry in some areas (battery bar and smaller icons show this well - look at first and second picture for comparison), and worst is that it feels like a slower refresh rate (immediately noticed this when using the camera app). I know it says "no signs of wear or cosmetic damage when held 30cm away", but the screen really is a let down for me. On top of this, it was installed using thick foam which made the phone screen sit WAY too high. This is when i noticed how easily the screen literally fell out....
What ISN'T a let down though is the battery! A freshly installed genuine apple battery, 100% battery health! (See pictures) This makes the phone worth it, especially as a replacement for a few months; all day battery is important for my use case.
If you're not nit-picky and will be using a case, this phone will do. Otherwise, its a pretty big let down for anyone who intends to keep this phone long term. I've sold this to a friend for parts. Buyer beware!
