ASUS ROG Strix AMD Radeon RX 5700XT Overclocked 8G GDDR6 HDMI DisplayPort Gaming Graphics Card

Details

  • Boost Clock: ~2035MHz(OC Mode)/ ~2010Mhz (Gaming Mode)
  • Axial-tech fan design features longer fan blades and a unique barrier ring to increase air pressure.
  • 0dB Technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence.
  • 2.7-slot Design expands cooling surface area to make the most of the three powerful Axial-tech fans.
  • Auto-Extreme Technology uses automation to enhance reliability.
  • Super Alloy Power II includes premium alloy chokes, solid polymer capacitors, and an array of high-current power stages.
  • MaxContact Technology allows 2X more contact with the GPU chip for improved thermal transfer.
  • A reinforced frame prevents excessive torsion and lateral bending of the PCB.
  • ASUS FanConnect II equips 2 hybrid-controlled fan headers for optimal system cooling.
  • Aura Sync compatibility lets you customize and sync lighting effects with other compatible hardware.
  • GPU Tweak II provides intuitive performance tweaking, thermal controls, and system monitoring.

The ROG Strix RX 5700 XT features Aura RGB lighting on both the shroud and backplate. Aura Sync software to connect your compatible products for a completely customized gaming setup. You can sync to music, change color based on temperature, or select from a large number of patterns and static options, so make sure to look out for the Aura Sync logo when you're picking parts for your build.

The ASUS GPU Tweak II utility takes graphics card tuning to the next level. It allows you to tweak critical parameters including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, and voltage settings, with the option to monitor everything in real-time through a customizable on-screen display. Advanced fan control is also included along with many more features to help you get the most out of your graphics card.

When every frame counts and every click matters, AMD Radeon Anti-Lag is the ultimate tool and a must-have feature for gamers and competitive eSports players. Radeon Anti-Lag works by minimizing the amount of time between a gamer pressing a key or moving the mouse and having that response show up on the screen.

1440p is the new sweet spot for mainstream gaming, and the ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 XT is armed to dominate the category. Components on the surface of the PCB are precisely soldered with Auto-Extreme Technology and the GPU chip is cooled using MaxContact and a beefy heatsink. On top, three fans leverage our new Axial-tech design, which surpasses our own fans from the last generation. In-between those layers are a myriad of additional features like 0dB mode, IP5X dust resistance, a reinforced frame, and more.

    Great GPU, But with issues.
The RX580 replaces a problematic Radeon R9 380 which constantly froze the PC. This happened while the Crypto miners drove the price of GPU’s through the roof.I have a Corsair Obsidian 750D full tower case so I have plenty of space for this RX580, an HX1200i power supply so I have more than power. My Motherboard is an ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z, with an AMD fX 9590 CPU. The installation was straight forward except I had to change cables the R9 uses 2 6 pin cables, the RX580 1 8pin cable, very nice. The 750D’s has a great cable management system which routes the cables in a space accessed from the right case cover. Windows 10 was a complete PIA with the installation. When I restarted after installation Windows 10 decided it needed to repair W10 so it sat there for a half an hour doing that. I had a minor amount of trouble loading the drivers. A clean install fixed that.Huge improvement over the defective R9 380. Much better rendering. I am not a gamer but I have almost 200 GB of videos loaded. The old SD TV shows have greatly improved picture quality, very pleased. But: I had one green screen of death which was apparently mitigated by a clean install of the drivers. This morning when I woke the PC up I had a flickering black screen. This is a known issue with this series of Radeon cards. I did the suggested fixes so we will see what happens. It is apparently a startup issue. I’ll just let the computet go to standby instead of me putting it to sleep. This issue is the only reason for the 4 Star rating. If I continue to have problems in the next few days I’ll Call Amazon for a replacement.Update: The suggested fixed have worked. The most common cause of the flashing black screen, according to Youtubes on the subject is the Windows error reporting service, it is now disabled. The 2nd as much less come is iCloud on your PC. I don’t usr iCloud on the PC so I deleted it.

Truly impressed. I’m a mild gamer. I play games like counter strike, Call of Duty, Black Desert and Battlefield and without a doubt in my mind this product is incredible in 1080p Ultra . The driver (Adrenalin 2020) is very buggy I do have to say but only with things such as setting hot keys, instant replay and streaming but if you’re not too worried about that then you should be fine. I upgraded from an Nvidia 780Ti and the difference was night and day and when I say that I’m talking about the detail, shadows, and colors that the 5500XT has and not to mention the temperature of the GPU doesn’t ever get hot even with the factory overclock. You do need an 6+2 Pin to power it. and one last additional thing I may add is if you want the FULLEST potential of the Radeon Freesync and Antilag features that come with the driver I would recommend an ASUS Freesync 165Hz monitor which is what I use if you’re going to also buy a monitor if not It should still look great with any other monitor. I used this card with a Vizio 60Hz monitor and it was still pretty good

This year I decided it was time to upgrade from my old ATI-HD 5770 video card which is no longer supported. Figured I would get a top of the line AMD card and decided on this one. When I received it, I found it wouldn't work on my current system at the time. So I started buying what I needed to build a new system then and there.

By the time I was done, I had spent over $3000.00 and I just fired my new system up about a week ago.

The video card works just fine, but I found that the fans did not run and there was no way to enable them. Did a bit of research I found that I had to use both CPU-Z and MorePowerTools to modify the firmware to enable manual fan control. Now they work like a charm. Anyone can find this information just by Googling the fan problem with the video card.

The card itself was well worth the purchase and it works in my new AMD Ryzen 9 3900X system

This card is great! I recently upgraded from my gtx 1060 to the 5700xt and was not disappointed, the GPU made a massive difference in my games. I went for the Asus Strix because of the clean style of the Strix model and the cooling. Drivers are not hard to install and I have not had any problems with it from when I bought a couple of months ago. The aura sync and Asus GPU tweak software is great and easy to understand, for only $450 it was a steal!

    Pros:
-3 fans for cooling (under full load, doesn't go above 80*)
-aura sync is easy and nice-looking
    -Gpu has great overall performance
-Build quality is the best I've seen (Its quite heavy)
    Cons:
-The only real con is how gigantic this card is which you can expect from Asus. I personally don't mind but make sure this thing will fit in your case, and you might want to add in a GPU support bracket too just to prevent GPU sag.

Let's start with saying this card NEEDS the VBios flash. I was getting pc restarts and display loss. Whether the card was at stock or overclocked. With the latest drivers and suggested utility.

The only thing that fixed this was going through a VBIOS flash to the latest 14gbps version.

After this all the problems seemed to disappear.

The card now performs better than advertised. From 1650mhz to 1780mhz(1820 OC) and with only a 5° to 8°C climb in temperatures. Which this card has not exceeded 61°C during long gaming sessions and 59°C during stress testing.

I do recommend this card, but I wish I'd know about the bios. Instead I spent two days trying to figure out if it was incompatible with my other hardware.

Update: I think I may have gotten a faulty card. This is the 5th GPU I've worked with, but this has been the most consistently bad card I've used.
So the card keeps resetting itself.
Underclock, overclock, undervolt, overvolt, custom fan curve, power limit, graphic settings, drivers, utilities.
Nothing seems to fix the issue of this card black screening and artifacting on anything Demanding. Such as High FPS or Ultra settings on AAA Titles.
Constant errors all leading back to Direct x10, x11, x12 crashes, or "device disconnected"
In the end of each crash the card will revert any settings prior to the crash.
Running the card at stock will run low GPU dependent games. CsGO, smite, MW etc.
With crashes on anything demanding; GTA V, SOTR or ROTR, The Division 2, Fallout 4, Ark: SE. The list goes on. I decided to test every title I own.
I will be refunding this card.
I'm hoping this was just a faulty card, because in the end, I do actually like the card.
It gets me up to 125 to 200fps on MW, 100+ GTA V, Static 150 SMITE, 90+ultra TD2. So on so forth. So the cards performance IS there. Just dont know what the hell is wrong with the one I received.

Built a gaming PC for my sons 13th B-day present, and this is the GPU we chose.
Installed on a GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO WIFI, with AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor, Kingston Technology HyperX Fury Black16GB 2933MHz DDR4, and WD BLACK SN750 500GB NVMe Internal Gaming SSD - Gen3 PCIe, M.2.
The machine is butter smooth, and handles everything my son has thrown at it with ease.

I'm not big on "benchmarks" etc... so I have no clue on FPS etc... but we are both very happy with the performance, and my son has not found any games that struggle, or that he doesn't enjoy playing with this setup, that said he's 13 so he may not be playing the most graphic intense games.

Also, it looks awesome in the NZXT H500 tempered glass case we put it in.

Can take anything you throw at it, all latest games can run on ultra 1080p with performances above 60 fps. Easy install and setup with AMD Adrenaline software and every game can be optimized within the software. Been a NVIDIA customer for over a decade and it was hard to switch to AMD but i can say its worth it. I will say though u can probably get the card for a little bit cheaper in your local store but I am buying this during the pandemic so this is a good deal. Would recommend this card to anyone who is looking to build a new pc or looking to change a gpu. make sure this card is compatible with your system and have the sufficient power to run it.
