Product Description

The Mavic Mini from DJI is a compact drone that offers professional-quality results with no restrictions. Thanks to its small size, the Mavic Mini can fly where larger drones are legally not permitted, or where a drone license is required. This freedom of flight is combined with a stabilized 3-axis gimbal and sophisticated flight modes, which can achieve up to 12MP images, 2.7K Quad HD videos, and complex cinematic shots with just a touch in the DJI Fly app.

Another advantage of the Mavic Mini's size is that it can stay in the air longer. The Mini drone features up to 30 minutes of flight time on a full battery charge. The included controller is designed to work with Android and iOS smartphones, letting you easily fly the drone while maintaining a low-latency HD video feed from the gimbal from up to 2.5 miles away. To help get started, DJI includes a flight tutorial in the DJI Fly app, making the Mavic Mini an ideal drone solution for beginners to professionals alike.

The Mavik Mini drone is outstanding, especially for this price. For reference, I have had one drone before this (Parrot Bebop).

Pros:
-Stability and control are simply outstanding. Very easy to fly and includes three different settings. Easy to make micro-adjustments in-flight, this allows you to get some very good shots.
-Camera quality is unbelievable. For $400 I am shocked at how great the photos and videos turn out. If you're wondering, the quality is so good that it could definitely be used for commercial purposes.
-The size. I was a little reluctant at first to buy a "mini" drone, but once you get used to the size difference it doesn't feel odd. I now prefer the small size.
-The controller is easy to use, feels sturdy, and is compact.
-Overall just seems to be put together and designed really well.
-Battery life. I haven't fully tested it to its limits, but I've gotten 30-35 minutes of flight time while using the camera for 80% of that time.
-Very easy set-up.

Cons:
-The gimbal protector is kind of a pain to fit around the camera. This isn't a big deal as it only takes a few extra seconds to get on correctly. It just could be better.
-The cord that plugs your phone into the controller only fits through the controller one way, again not a big deal.
-It only came with one charging cord (you charge the controller and drone with the same cord). Also, it didn't come with the outlet for the wall. This was somewhat dissapointing.

Overall, totally amazing drone that can be flown by the amateur or professional for commercial purposes. I don't think I will ever buy anything that isn't from DJI again. This is a gamechanger.

I bought this because we live on 24 acres and it is easier to scan the acreage with the drone than it is to drive around in a atv checking on the various animals we have.
The drone is easy to use and is durable.... mine has been 'crashed' landed several times and it still flies like new. I ordered propeller covers and a second battery because I like it so much.

DJI Fly app did not work for me. It would not take my password and did not send another via email as the app said it would. And, yes, I did check my spam folder. Therefore the drone is not usable. Missing controller charger and very confusing instructions. I returned it for a (hopefully} full refund from a non-Amazon seller. In the future I would purchase directly from Amazon for protection from third party sellers. I had heard about DJI software problems and was reticent to order any DJI products because of that. I have now learned my lesson.
