At first, I simply bought it to spoil myself, and probably return it after several minutes of gameplay. But realized it's a lot more than just looking cute, it's also surprisingly great!I bought this back in around February, along with some thumbgrips for good measure, and speaking of, as a side note, ALWAYS grab some joy-stick sized thumb grips (i recommend Geekshare's) if you want to try this controller.It's been nearly 2 months since i grabbed this controller and to me when it comes to playing Switch games in the most comfortable way possible, it's a huge game changer. I can not only play Animal Crossing, in which i'm pretty sure that's what this controller is made for, but i can also play competitive games like Mario Kart and Smash Bros.Not only is this controller functional, but it also almost has anything a regular Pro controller has, although, it's not perfect, it still works anyway. The only thing it doesn't have is NFC, or where you can use your Amiibo. But if you're not fond or just simply not a fan of using Amiibo, then it's nothing to worry about.Although, I do have some cons when using it. But i got some things listed for this controller, along with some comparisons to other controllers.PROS:- Cute and small, fit for small to medium sized hands, a great gift for young kids as well, but also for adults with smaller hands as well (like me).- Whoever made this design and decided to not only make the ears connected to the shoulder buttons, but curved in a way to rest your fingers to make the buttons feel bigger, THANK YOU. I use the official Pro controller sometimes and one of the problems I had to deal with when using the Pro is that the shoulder buttons are a little bit too small, even for a controller that's more suitable for people with large hands.- Not only is it adorable, but also very functional and comfortable as well. Which is a rare case.- Motion controls and Rumble (not HD sadly), but not really something to worry about.- Has quality plastic, although it sounds like an oxymoron, It's actually comfortable to play with. Last time I bought a third party controller (which is a wired PowerA controller that's shaped like a Gamecube one but with switch buttons) the plastic felt shamelessly cheap and just not good to hold with, and for that I had to immediately return it. If you want something with ACTUALLY good quality material, and wanted something to hold on to for a while, This, I believe, is the right controller.CONS:- This, of course, CAN, and WILL sometimes drift, on a rare occasion, sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right analog stick, but it's for only a short moment of time before it resets itself (i think), whenever that happens, I would usually use the calibration system and if it doesn't work, I restart my switch and it's good as new.- If you have large hands and you want this controller, I'm afraid to say that this controller is surprisingly small. Smaller than I expected, but it's perfect for my medium-ish hands. So, I'm afraid it's not for you.- If you don't buy the thumb grips while buying alongside the controller and you have very smooth finger pads, then you're going to have a bit of trouble with the analog sticks cuz while the edges are ribbed, the middle of it feels almost frictionless, and will definitely slip off your thumbs if you're not careful, especially if playing something intense like smash bros or any fighting game.- Oh yeah, and speaking of thumbgrips, That can also be a bit of a problem cuz if you're into competitive playing (Smash Bros, Mario Kart, ARMS, etc) and you press them really hard, they tend to slip off the analog sticks but won't tear off, so be careful.- This is probably going to be one of the smallest of cons, more like a pet peeve, but the ears can also be a tiny bit of a hassle, especially whenever I'm trying to reach the minus button, I would probably recommend moving your finger over the L button so you can reach it, But not to worry for the ears are surprisingly sturdy for lil' pieces of plastic that are also connected to the left and right buttons.Overall, I recommend this controller, it's cute, comfortable, functional and it's perfect for small hands, a great gift for children. May not be perfect, but it's worth the buy.I hope this review makes it worth the shot.
