Good 4K dock for Dell Workstation
Purchased this to replace a not functioning Dell USBC dock that would not drive 2 4K monitors. The Corsair dock works well, drives both 4K monitors. My only concern is it only has 2 USB ports, so I needed a USB hub for my other devices. The device also powers my laptop and looks good on the desktop. ***update= the device periodically drops my monitor connections then has to reconnect. this is irritating, happens now at least once per week. This is used as a work device so I'm on it daily from 7AM-5PM M-F.

Style: Thunderbolt 3 HDMI x2Verified Purchase
TL;DR This dock is perfect for me! Identifical video outputs with good I/0. 85W passthrough for Macbook Pro. And a neat power button!

This is my 1st ever review on an item. Bought it with my own dinero.

3 Reasons This Dock is Perfect for me

1) Identical video output ports

One of my biggest gripes with ThunderBolt 3 docks is looking for one that has the same 2 ports for displays. Sometimes they do 1 Type C and 1 Dispalyport, other times it's 1 Displayport and 1 HDMI. It's annoying because I just want 2 of the same.

And even when they are the same port, they don't always support 4K 60hz. This important to me because I have a 1440p/144hz monitor and a 1080/144hz. Luckily, this dock supports 2 HDMI 2.0 ports that will output the highest refresh rate for both of my monitors!

2) 85W passthrough

I have a 15in Macbook Pro which needs a lot of power. Since this dock supports 85W passthrough, it has become a 1 cable solution for my macbook 15 inch. I currently have 2 monitors connected, USB webcam, Gigabit ethernet cable, and a Type C USB Key. Everything works, even the headphone jack for both audio output and input. A lot of docks only go up to 65W.

3) Power Button!

This is definitely the cherry on top. I've been leaving my macbook on nonstop while connected to 2 monitors because I keep the laptop closed and I can't be bothered with turning it on and off. If I power off the computer, I have to open the laptop to press the power button. With this dock, I can turn off the dock and stop supplying power to the laptop. This allows the laptop to sleep! Now it won't stay warm overnight and I can save on my electric bill! The one thing I don't like about the power button is that there is an LED indicator on the power button itself. So you have to press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the LED is off. But since your finger covers the light, it's hard to see. Not a big deal, but something to improve upon for v2.

4) Downside / Quirks
See point 3 regarding power button.

One thing I wasn't expecting was the chunky power adapter. The dock uses a barrel plug which is connected to a rather large power adapter. The power adapter is not at the end of the plug, its in the middle of the cable (and it disconnects in 2 halves). I won't dock it in rating because A) It does it's job and B) The stock power adapter is also chunky. Unless they add a GaN power adapter, I can't see this changing. The power adapter is about 6in x 2 in. Maybe next time it could just use a Type C port for power? That way I can use my own cables since GaN are getting smaller and smaller.

For the next dock. I would want the same dock, but with a smaller/no power adapter and a smaller dock itself. This could be done by removing the MicroSD card reader and a few other ports. For me, my ideal ports would be 2 video outputs, 1 Type C, 1 USB A, ethernet, headphone jack, and ethernet with a power button! And maybe with a lower price ;) $260 is a lot for this dock, but if you have the money to spend on it, don't hesitate at all.

Ended up needing to return it, but in brief testing this is very well built and great quality (what I would expect from Corsair). If I ever need a Thunderbolt dock in the future, this will definitely be the one I buy!

purchased two Corsair TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 docks, one for the office and one for home. I based this purchase on review which rated this dock very highly. In the office, I am attaching an Ethernet line, a USB mouse and a 4k monitor via HDMI. At home, I am attaching a 1k monitor via HDMI (the mouse uses bluetooth and the network connection is wireless). At both my office and at home, the monitor attached to the dock goes blank and then reconnects about every 5-10 minutes. This is not acceptable. The computer is a new dell xps 17 running windows 10 2021H1. All drivers are up to date. BTW in both places if I use the adapter provided by dell which provides a HDMI connection and plugs directly into the laptop’s thunderbolt port, the monitor works flawlessly, at both home and the office. At this point I am ready to return these docks.

My wife has the same dock purchased from somewhere else that she uses with her Macbook Pro M2 Pro and it works great with dual 4k monitors.

Since we had such a great experience with this thunderbolt dock, I bought one for myself. I purchased this used from amazon. item arrived in great condition. Works great on my work windows computer with dual 4k monitors.

Product works very well. Would be great if it had a few more ports, but seems to operate well and so far no complaints.

I've had two of these and both have had VERY loud coil whine... the kind you cannot ignore.

Additionally, I've got a 32" 1440p display and a smaller 1080 display, if I turn off and unplug the dock, when I reboot, I can get 144hz on the 1440p display and 120hz on the 1080 display, and work/play games all day with no issues. As soon as I shut down my PC and restart, the 1440 drops to 100hz and the 1080 drops to 70hz and CANNOT be changed without a hard reboot of the hub itself.

That said, I like the form factor and the available ports, and the price is really nice. Also, the support staff are VERY nice and VERY responsive.

Used this on my Mac Mini M2 Pro to connect a dual display setup. So far so good. It looks sleek on my desk as well. I don’t know if it does anything better than it’s competitors, but it’s been great for me.

I bought this so that I could dock my Macbook Pro (aka my work machine). I have two monitors plugged into it and it hardly ever recognizes the second monitor on the first try; usually, I have to go into display settings and jiggle the resolution (which is just 1080p) in order for the monitor to register. The device also gets REALLY hot. Like hard to touch hot. I've tried working with tech support and they are mostly useless, telling me to install their seemingly useless utility to try to fix the issue (it didn't fix anything). Overall, relatively large waste of money for the final outcome. I likely could have gone with a cheaper product and had better success.

My workspace is composed of a MacBook Pro Max 2 and a Windows PC with TB4 on both. I use this dock to switch peripherals (keyboard, mouse, external sound card, headset, camera, mic) and two monitors between the two depending on what I am doing; work for the Mac and gaming on the PC. Switching is a manual process as I have to swap cables but both computers work perfectly fine when doing so.

On the Mac, I am using a USB C to HDMI to one monitor that runs at 3840x1600 @85hz and a TB4 to displayport on another monitor that is 1920x1080 @144hz perfectly going through the dock. On the PC, though, I only use one port to a monitor since I use a GPU in the PC for games, bypassing the dock completely.

Using the onboard 2.5G port gets me full line speed to the Mac for file transfers to servers on a 10G line and is able to take advantage of 1.5G internet to the home.

So far, I'm quite happy with this dock. I've paired it with a USB C hub to add additional USB A ports and everything is working for the most part. The only problems I had were with Windows not recognizing the dock so I had to plug a keyboard into the PC to login and let Windows recognize the device. I've also noticed that sometimes I cannot get into the UEFI on the PC using the dock. I suspect that's not a problem with the dock but likely a problem with a PC's TB4 ports and just general PC quirks, even on an Intel platform.

I would recommend this dock for use with both OSes in any case and I expect that it will work fine with Linux as well.

Style: Thunderbolt 3 HDMI x2Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
1x USB C 10Gbit
1x SD-Kartenleser
1x 3,5mm Headset Anschluss

Auf der Rückseite:
2x USB A 5Gbit
1x Gbit LAN
1x USB C 10Gbit
2x HDMI 2.0 (4K 60Hz)
1x Thunderbolt 3!!! Ganz wichtig > Das ist der Eingang <!!!!!!
1x Netzteilanschluss

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for MacBook

I recently received a MacBook Pro as part of a new job I just started. Previously I had been a Windows/Linux user for decades, and my office was set up nicely for my previous Dell Precision series laptop. I quickly learned that finding a sub $400 dock that would enable my MacBook to drive my 2 displays whilst charging all through one cable wasn't going to be an easy task. My old one wouldn't work, and I tried two different newer models and none would deliver. This one worked perfectly out of the box, provides lots of connectivity options, and feels like a solid unit. Very happy with it so far. (Disclaimer, this is a new Macbook with the Intel chip).

Videoausgang: HDMI 2.0 (2)
Max. Auflösung: Jeweils bis zu 4096 × 2160 Pixel
USB-Anschlüsse: USB-A SuperSpeed 5 Gbit/s (2), USB-C SuperSpeed 10 Gbit/s (2)
Ethernet: Gigabit-Ethernet (1)
Audio: 3,5-mm-Kombianschluss, 24 Bit 192 kHz (1)
Diebstahlsicherung: Kensington-Schloss (1)
Medienleser: SD-Kartenleser, UHS-II (1)
Dock-Abmessungen: 228 mm (L) × 83 mm (B) × 25 mm (H)

Fazit:
