Product Description
The G9 Plus is the hero of the pair. Initially launched earlier this month in India, it has a 6.8-inch, 2,400x1,080-pixel display and 5,000-mAh battery. Its main rear camera has a huge 64-megapixel resolution, which when paired with the depth sensor should be able to produce attractive portrait mode effects. There's a super-wide lens and a macro lens as well. The phone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 730G processor, backed up by 4GB of RAM, which should make it powerful enough for your everyday essentials.

Off the bat, let me just say that the issue I have with this phone is the inability to use two SIM cards and a SD card. My previous Motorola G6 plus, which fell and cracked hence prompting the replacement, has a well designed SIM tray that fit my two SIM cards and a SD card. Not this G9 Plus. The SIM tray is designed such that either a SIM Card/SD Card can be used OR SIM card/SIM card. You cannot have all three in the phone.
I was rather disappointed. However, the phone does have a 128 GB memory. So I was able to transfer everything from my old SD card onto the phone's memory and still have 78 GB of free space. Not bad. Having done this, I was able to use my dual SIM.
Ideally, I would have liked to use my two SIM cards and the SD card but for me, it was more important to use the dual SIM as one SIM is my personal number, with the other being my work number. Having dual SIM saves me from having to move around with two phones.
The phone itself is large, which is a good thing for me. It comes with a stock android, and no UI or overlays. It is for this reason that I have stuck with Motorola mobile phones from Day 1 of getting my first ever smart phone. The stock android is simple and effortless thereby allowing the phone to maximise memory and RAM and not having an overlay use valuable phone resources.
The battery life is splendid so far. Today is Friday 12 noon. Battery percentage is currently 24%. I charged the phone to 100% on Wednesday afternoon about 1.00 PM. I did all the phone setup, migrated my old phone, updated all apps and software. Used the phone quite a bit yesterday for YT, calls and messages. I expect that the battery life will exceed 2 days and extend to 3 days with my normal usage.
The fingerprint sensor is spot on and very responsive. No issues using it so far. The case I have makes the sensor a little more difficult to use, but this is not fault of the phone's design.
Cool feature on the power button/fingerprint sensor... a double tap popup/fast menu can be configured such that if the button is double tapped, this menu pops up. You can assign up to six most frequently used apps/phone numbers on this menu. I like this nifty feature.
The phone comes with the usual Moto app for gesture control and accessibility. Pretty decent.
Speakers are not as great as my previous phone and the volume has to be quite high to hear clearly. They are also not stereo speakers.
Other than that, the phone works as expected and quite frankly, size/camera/display/memory is on par with many other "flagship" phones but at a fraction of the price.

However, I think more specifications should be indicated as I found later the model does not have a compass.
Small matter, overall, very satisfied!
Thank you.

* Yet if I use up the 4K UHD with a slow motion size at 240 fps instead of 120 fps than the smartphone will start slackening and you will even get frequent pixelizations. I don't know why the Moto G9 plus has got such flaw?
* You will for sure like its Android 10. It is much simpler to use it now and it has got very convenient new functions and options. The update fits well to the technology.
* No issues at all with the software. I could set up anyone of my choice. They work well and are steady.
* It has got a clock and a weather forecast that works when at sleep. You could check the time, temperature and the date at once by a simple glimpse. You could as well get noticed about important updates just below it through a tight strip of denoting icons.
* Watch out: The Moto G9 Plus uses up a very fast 3.1 cable, that what could be unusual for some users. Yet, it is fine for me since I have a recent motherboard which is fit for premium computers (these comprehends all sorts of ports like the 3.1).
* It is really a fast smartphone. I set up any application very rapidly with it.
* I prefer to keep it since it has got a pleasant high definition large 6.8 inch screen: I read books and dictionaries with it oftentimes. The definition of the picture on YouTube could be stunning.
Overall, why not 5 stars since it costs less than 360? Because of the flaw which is mentioned above, it should fairly lose 1 star.
Some confusion regarding 4 or 6 gb ram.
Definitely 4
