Artist bios

A cosmopolitan hard rock unit built around a shared love for classic rock and blues, Inglorious emerged in 2016 with their hard-hitting eponymous debut. Subsequent efforts like II (2017) and Ride to Nowhere (2019) helped to cement the band's status as retro-leaning modern hard rock heavyweights.

Inglorious was founded in 2014 by English vocalist Nathan James (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Uli John Roth), rhythm guitarist Wil Taylor, Swedish lead guitarist Andreas Eriksson, bassist Colin Parkinson, and drummer Phil Beaver. Inspired by bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Bad Company, Aerosmith, and the Rolling Stones, the newly minted quintet wasted little time getting down to business, releasing a well-received YouTube video of their cover of "Burn" by Deep Purple. In 2015, the band inked a deal with Frontiers and headed to a studio in Buckinghamshire to track their eponymous debut LP, which arrived in early 2016. Following the record's release, the band embarked on a European tour with the Dead Daisies and the Winery Dogs, and they were also the support act for comedy shock-rockers Steel Panther. Taylor announced that he was leaving the band after the recording of their second album in 2016 and, in an unexpected twist, original guitarist Drew Lowe rejoined the group to replace him. Inglorious II arrived in 2017 and was produced by Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Rush). After a round of U.K. and European tour dates as well as more support slots with Steel Panther, the group returned to the studio in 2018. With Shirley back on the mixing desk, Inglorious recorded their third album, Ride to Nowhere. Released at the beginning of 2019, the album saw the band taking their hard rock sound into darker territory. We Will Ride was released in 2021, featuring a re-tooled lineup consisting of core members Nathan James and Phil Beaver, and new members guitarists Danny Dela Cruz and Dan Stevens, and bassist Vinnie Colla. The band's fifth album, Heroine, came just a few months after We Will Ride, which saw them paying tribute to women in music by taking on a selection of covers by female artists, including Miley Cyrus, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and Heart. ~ James Christopher Monger
