**Updated review to add/clarify a few things.I use this controller for Xbox SX play and have put 4 months of good use into it. I would have liked to give it a better rating because it has some truly great features, but I can not due to some flaws that I I'm unable to overlook.Prior to getting this one, I was using the standard xbox wireless controller with a turtle beach headset adapter from a previous purchase. The adapter was great but would need to be reconnected occasionally to function or didn't work at all with some games. So I'm really liking the fact that this controller has all the same features plus more built directly into it thus eliminating the inconvenient quirks of the adapter.I've always enjoyed and had fairly good experience with Turtle Beach products. And once I got used to having features like mic monitoring, bass boost, chat volume mixer, etc... I dreaded playing with anything less.The good:All those lovely features I listed above, with 4 different saved profile settings for switching it up on the fly.The rear bumpers are in just the right spot. The textured bumps on the bumpers and triggers offer nice grip and control. The D-pad is well designed and has slightly smoother edges than a normal xbx d-pad which can help lower finger fatigue or discomfort if you are a frequent user. All the inputs feel very responsive. Comes with a 10 foot braided usb-a to USB-c cable so if anything does happen to the cable you can use an alternate or replacement cable without replacing the ENTIRE controller. It is a surprisingly light-weight controller. You can configure and change profiles on the fly which is fantastic, some other controllers require you to launch a separate app to do this which totally ruins the immersion. So awesome job there.The indifferent:The superhuman hearing feature seems to enhance or bring peripheral sounds more to the front while dampening others. I don't use the feature much but I like the fact it is there and can give you a competitive edge if you like to play fps or pvp games. I much prefer the bass boost EQ setting as it just makes everything sound much more rich and full. You will likely need to consult the manual and familiarize yourself with how to program the buttons/profiles. It's not overly complicated but it also isn't as easy and intuitive as it could be. The middle buttons like the menu and capture buttons are a bit lower on the controller than I'm used to so sometimes I find myself hitting the chat volume down button when I meant to hit the menu/pause button. So it can take a little getting used to the button placement. These are not huge but worth mentioning and that's why I'm putting them here.Now the bad:As I mentioned before before, the controller is very light-weight and one of my main issues with this product is the vibration. Anytime this controller vibrates it produces a very loud and annoying rattling sound. It does not matter if you have vibration set to the lowest setting or not. Its unavoidable and super distracting. It becomes so disruptive I wind up turning vibration off and that's a feature I usually enjoy having on, so to me this is a definitive downfall. 4 months in and already getting stick drift in the left analog.**The manual says you can program/map any other button to the back bumpers but this is NOT true! I will attach a photo of the manual where it says this and also the image with some buttons highlighted with GREEN. Only the buttons colored green or with a green dot can be mapped. You can not map LT, RT, start/menu, select (or whatever they're calling this button nowadays, the one to the left of start/menu)While the textured bumps on the bumpers and triggers offer nice grip and control - they attract dirt and debris like a magnet! Because of the bumpy design you aren't able to simply wipe it off because the debris/skin/dirt/whatever gets stuck between the bumps. I don't play with greasy or otherwise dirty hands as I can't stand when my controller is slippery, sticky, etc. But it's unavoidable that you will get gunk in between the little bumps. I used a pet hairbrush to clean it and that seemed to be the most effective way to get those areas clean.The palm area cushion grip (If you can even call it that) is nearly non-existent and is suitable for casual play but not intense play. For example, I've found that the controller becomes uncomfortable after being gripped tightly during intense game play. It got to the point that I actually had to take a break because my hands started to hurt. I don't have this issue with other controllers.TLDR version:Wonderful job on the more advanced features but fumbles on some key basic ones. 4 months in and already has stick drift in left analog. My search for the perfect controller continues...
