This refurbished Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is as described. It works as if it was brand-new out of the box. I only gave it 4 stars because I guess I'm used to my phone's touch tech. The Kindle seems to respond not the same and maybe it's just because I'm not completely used to it, but apparently I sometimes touch the screen wrong and one of the menus opens. I got a case so hopefully that will help with me to not inadvertently touch the wrong area of the screen.The one main issue I had was with Amazon customer service - I ordered the ad-free version. But when I powered it up, it had ads. I contacted Amazon customer service and they told me I would have to pay $20 to remove the ads but then they "generously" offered to remove them without charge. I felt that their response was patronizing and disingenuous. And I explained to them that I had already paid for the ad-free version. They did remove the ads and that process was quick. But I didn't care for the interaction.
