The treadmill itself is great! It is very sturdy and high quality parts. I would give the treadmill itself 5 stars but I gave it 4 overall because of the disappointing fact that they only support iFit exercise programs. And there are no cheap plans for iFit, only the $40 per month plan. I wish they had a few exercise programs for a cheaper price like $10 a month and I might consider that but $40 per month is a joke! And every time I start up the treadmill I have to go through them trying to sell iFit to me. Really NordicTrack?

Mechanically the treadmill is great but the truth is it’s a scam to get you to subscribe to ifit. There are no programmed or built in workouts on the machine. Any cheap treadmill has workouts and programs built in to it but this has to be adjusted manually which is simply unacceptable.

I agonized over whether or not I wanted to buy this treadmill. So much so, that I ordered, then canceled the first time after seeing the rough reviews regarding ifit being required. I did extensive research on ifit and watched many video reviews- pelleton vs this nordictrack, etc. I can totally respect the viewpoint that if you pay a good amount for a treadmill, that it should come with bells and whistles that don't come attached with a monthly bill. I too typically get all worked up when I feel that I'm getting fleeced after having purchased something.

Herein lies the first time EVER that I'm not totally worked up. I paid to have the nordictrack put in the room I wanted and for it to be put together upon arrival. I thought it was a bad sign when it took multiple steps to get my ifit account set up, and a little patience as it took a little time to register and start working when completed to register the account. However, after all was done, ifit is running smoother than ever time and time again.

I feel that this treadmill was designed to work with ifit. And, if one goes into the purchase understanding this, their perception of this machine is far greater than it would be otherwise. There are tens of thousands of things to choose from, different instructors, different styles, real places that you're walking through and sometimes getting really neat history on. Mountains, volcanos, bridges, forests, you name it. Don't like chatty people? I usually don't either, but I found fairly intelligent, reserved and calm instructors that I favor over others, and funny enough found that it's pretty good for my mental health to take a nice virtual walk with a positive and well informed individual while unplugging from TV. Still, don't want to hear people talking, just hit the minus button for volume and mute the instructor, takes about two seconds.

Although an expensive treadmill should absolutely come with bells and whistles, I just can't imagine the price it would be if it came with all ifit makes available preprogrammed within it. $10,000, maybe more?

What's more, this machine coupled with ifit pushes you to actually move, challenges you in a fun way and helps you to really lose weight. As the virtual walk or run that you are on goes through various virtual inclines and speed adjustments, the treadmill auto adjusts to reflect this- declines, increase in incline, speeds and slows throughout the experience. You really feel like you got a nice walk or run at the end of whatever you choose- just pick the level and length appropriate for you.

I've got an old treadmill downstairs, it became a clothes rack as the old joke goes. An elliptical, same thing.. I dust it once in a while. This nordictrack with ifit going, my husband and I just keep going back for more, day after day, several weeks after getting it. Sometimes, we might even have to play rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to go first if we both want to walk around the same time. A piece of exercise equipment that actually makes us want to exercise, who knew? Absolutely, hands down, recommend this treadmill.

Style: Commercial 2450 Treadmill (2023 Model)Verified Purchase
We have had this treadmill 2450 for about a week. We had a delivery miscommunication but was easily resolved.

The machine requires a subscription to iFit in order to use the screen. We pay about 39/mo for that. So far we love it. The iFit studio work outs and hiking videos are so awesome. It is super motivating and the time really
Flies! Nothing like counting down the clock. It automatically can adjust your speed and Incline as the terrain changes during the hikes. It’s so cool. I’ve worked a lot harder than I’d ever do it on my own.

So far we love that it can do. The machine takes a long time to warm up after you turn It on. You can’t just turn it in and hop on.

Also for us, we’ve had a lot of creaking as we walk and as it adjusts inclines. I’m not sure why. The large screen is awesome and it seems to work fine (for now). I’ll update this if we have any “events”. I realize everything is disposable these days but I would hope a 2500$ machine would last and last. I’m not sure…the treadmill itself feels like any other I’ve ever tried. Pretty basic. I’m hoping we won’t experience any problems.
