5.0 out of 5 starsEfficient machine!

My husband and I both work in the oilfield and have to wear full FR's every day. I was spending close to $40. a week at the laundromat, which is 25 miles away. I've read mixed reviews on this machine and have a neighbor who has one. My only issue was the wrinkling, but I decided to buy the washer-dryer combo and deal. Well, thanks to the reviews of others, I knew that I would need to use fabric softener, and after 20 loads of laundry, I have not had any wrinkling in anything except for the jeans. (But that's not a problem after they are shaken and put on hangers.) It is a small washer, so an average load is 1 pair jeans, 1 work shirt, 1 under shirt, and if you aren't particular about sorting, underwear and socks. I mostly use wash cycle 2 or 3 and a dry time of 60 or 80 minutes, and on cold or slightly warm water. The cycles are long, but remember, there are MANY cycles and times to choose from. If laundering King sized sheets, you'll need to do two loads...top sheet and pillow case in one and fitted sheet and pillow case in 2nd. It also does a great job on delicates. We installed this ourselves, including cutting a hole in the wall for the vent, and it was very easy. I would recommend this washer-dryer combo to anyone living in an RV. And the best part is, no more laundromat!

5.0 out of 5 stars Slow but works well and is very quiet

Carrier called to setup time window for delivery. Was on-time. We ran two loads so far. We liked the combo feature and needed a small unit right beside bedroom. Very quiet to run even while sleeping. Takes a long time even for vented model to dry jeans- approx 2 hours. Even with fabric softener things came out wrinkly but overall good value for money. Glad we made the purchase. Easy to install but needed two people to lift it into place. Went online to better understand the washing cycles, it was much clearer to understand than the booklet that came with unit. Wish it had an automatic drying sensor like in our home unit but we will get better at guessing the more loads we dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful machine

The first thing I should say make sure you check all sites for the best price. Two days after we received the machine we noticed a price drop from a competitor for $985.00 plus $80.00 shipping. RAD-AUTO our seller said send it back unopened sealed in factory packing only, what do you do when get something new well that's life we paid $1,265.00 W/free shipping. The machine is a heavy well build wonderful washer dryer combo it cleans well and dries well. And it's not made in China. The factory offers a 5 year extended warranty for $199.00 a good deal. I like the idea of it being vented it dries very well. A load of about 8 lbs it will wash and dry in about 2hrs an 15 mins not bad for a 120 volts. We've only had the machine for 3 months but so far it's a winner. I hope this helps

4.0 out of 5 stars Pros and Cons
Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2020

Pros: 1) Gets the job done and though dry cycles have to be longer still energy efficient. 2) Can wash a queen sized comforter if you extend duration of dry cycle by 20 min.
Cons and general advice: 1) When installing it helps to use the mounting brackets and make sure its perfectly level...due to high speed spin at end of wash cycle unit tends to shake a bit. This was corrected by putting clothes in evenly distributed and adjusting the level of unit. 2) Definitely use a wrinkle guard fabric softener and follow directions for amounts of softener and detergent so clothes don't come out wrinkled if not the will. 3) Follow directions and shorten the vent hose as short as possible. Doing this can shorten dry cycle by 15-20 minutes. 4) Washing a full load of cottons takes apx 100 minutes to dry, a full load of delicates 60 minutes. 5) Runs and drys much better if you do slightly smaller loads vs overloading. 6) my wife's biggest complaint is there is no bell sound when wash is finished. Lol

Overall definitely works well for the price if you follow my suggestions above. Hope this helps you in your decision making progress.
Ps: I took the additional 5 year warranty also just in case hoping i won't have to use it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Unit for my 5th Wheel, Recommended by northwood.
Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2019

I bought this product for my 5th wheel trailer. Had to sell my house, live in the 5th wheel and look for jobs. The RV park i chose to live at (near Austin Tx) is pretty awful. Backed up sewer lines to the on site laundry room, not to mention most of the machines dont work. Got tired of traveling 8 miles to laundry mat in town. This unit works great. It handles mine and my wifes laundry easily. I think i only have to do laundry about the same with this unit. Once a week and maybe 2-3 loads. I got the vented dryer kind and it dries most everything out in 80 minutes. Not bad. Was not easy to put in, but my wife and I managed to get it in our 29-T Arctic Fox, Silver Fox Northwood 5th wheel. Had to drill through side of trailer. Everything fit well, but was a lot of work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full Time Camper Living Must-Have!
Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2019

This is mine and my husband’s first time living full time in a fifth wheel; before we bought our trailer we knew we needed to have laundry hookups, and after tons of research and reviews from you tubers and all over the internet, we decided to get the Splendide 2100xc. This w/d is so quiet and so good at its job! To keep from having wrinkles just do smaller loads ie. 3 shirts and a pair of a pants (you are living small so do your laundry according to your new lifestyle). I wouldn’t get any other unit. Our trailer didn’t come with a vent, but we looked up a YouTube video prior to getting the vented washer/dryer which showed us exactly how to drill into the camper and the vent parts we would need to make it all come together. So easy, and so amazing! Do ensure that you have a couple muscles with you when installing. This unit is heavy! Hopefully this helps!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall positive

Just installed mine last night in my travel trailer/rv and washed my first load.
I turned into an all night adventure (not the washer/dryers fault) as I was also installing a new sink, water lines, stand pipe, drains etc.
First off, this thing is heavy as heck. I currently have a standalone Haier compact washing machine and a compact dryer - they are about 40-60lbs each. This guy is supposedly just 145lbs but holy-roly-poly batman it's an awkward 145 that feels like 200 lbs. My other washer has little nooks on the sides you can use to lift it, this guy doesn't. The only thing you can safely lift from is the bottom or sides - you'll break the soap dispenser tray if you try to use it, and there is nothing on the back to lift with. As I installed mine into an RV, just getting it up the three little stairs into the unit was half the battle. You have to tip it and walk one side of the unit to move it around - the feet a rubberized so it's not going to want to slide anywhere.
As for the actual installation, the only issue I really had were those ridiculous shipping bolts on the back of the unit. It's a long rubbery grommet with a green cap and a heavy duty bolt running through it. The manual says to just remove them like you can unscrew the bolt and pop the grommet off by hand... that was soooo not the case on mine. The grommets are so tight that I had to use pliers to twist/pull/shimmy the grommet (4" long!) out of the hole. Suprise, that didn't work. I actually ended up breaking the head of the plug off and the main body dropped down inside the back of the unit. So now I had the pleasure of tipped the guy over on the side, unscrewing the bottom (easy enough, 4 screws) and trying to find it. That was just the first one. The method that seemed to work the best for me was to unscrew the bolt, then insert the bolt back into the grommet by about 1/2" (same hole it came out of) and use the bolt to pry at the head of the plug from the inside until you can pull/pry that ridiculous thing out. I spent at least twenty minutes trying to get the first one out (that broke) and referenced the manual 3 times looking for some trick.. but all it says is "remove it"
I'm not sure if mine were an oddball case but holy heck that was the hardest part of the install.
If you're having issues with yours, feel free to break the plug - it'll fall inside and you just have to go get it.

After that fiasco, I moved it into position, hooked up the water lines (hoses are really long.. too long imo they are like 8-10ft) and hooked up the dryer vent. The dryer vent is standard 4" but only because of a built in adapter that takes it from what looks like a 2" port to a 4" connection. I used a hose clamp to secure the dryer vent hose to the adapter, but don't overtighten this - I set my power screw driver to the lowest torque setting and went with that.

Once it was all hooked up, I had to read the manual just to understand what all the buttons and knobs did. Fyi, the 1-13 wash cycle dial thingy is not a light-heavy load dial... each number represents a different wash OR DRY setting. I set mine on 11 at first thinking "ok that's a notch under heavy" but it was actually a dry wash (wth?) cycle that kicked the dryer on. I thought the thing was broken at first when the dryer came on instead of washing. After reading the manual a little better (cmon guys it was like 4am at this point) I realized "3" was a good standard wash mode and it started up and went about it's business as you'd expect.

I set the dry time on 120 mins, that was way to long for one pair of jeans, a shirt, a pair of socks and a towel. The unit ran for over 4 hours... will need to play with settings to cut that down a bit - I know I over dryed the clothes as well. The manual suggests 80-100 mins for a normal load of clothes so I likely should have done 60mins.
One note about the spin cycles... with it being a front loader this is a different kind of spin vibration then what I was used too. My old washer was a top loader, and when it would spin up with an uneven load it would rock the unit back and forth and get noisy. This is front load, so the clothes are pretty much always going to be uneven (all at the bottom right!) and while the unit has stabilizing bars built in it shook the living daylights out of my travel trailer. I was actually concerned my trailer was going to shift off of the stabilizing jacks! No joke! If you're in a travel trailer, make sure you have a plan to secure this thing down very well. I haven't secured mine in yet, so hopefully, some of that trailer vibration will go away once I do. If it doesn't, I'd literally knock a star off from the amount of shaking it makes my 34' unit do. On the upside, my bed shook so much I felt like I had installed a vibrating bed and it shook me right to sleep.

FYI, if you order this from the same seller I did - check your amazon messages and answer all unknown callers that call you. They call to schedule a freight delivery and if you don't answer or check your amazon messages they cancel the order on you. I had to order twice to get mine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for tiny house living, few sacrifices
Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2019

This is perfect for my tiny house. Takes up minimal space. Washes close effectively. Those were my requirements. I will say that among the negatives are that it’s a little tricky getting things to come out wrinkle free at first. It’s not exactly like a residential size W/D. My advice is don’t overdry the clothes and use softener with every load (use less with the clothes items that advise not to use softener like Nike Dry Fit and Under Armor, but still use some). Word of warning is that it does shake my tiny house during the spin cycle for about 10-15 mins. Noticeable rattling of plates, pictures on walls, etc. will occur for about 5-8 minutes. Installation was a little tough because it’s SO heavy. Having 2 strong persons installing the unit is required. My unit was installed inside a cabinet that was cut to the dimensions of the unit and we forgot to allow room to work behind the unit to hook up hoses and things. So that was tricky to get it pushed back into the cabinet without squashing water hoses and dryer vent hose. Our solution was to hold them up and in place with some twine while we pushed it back in. My unit arrived with a big black dollar coin-sized burn mark on the front metal. It was like someone accidentally bumped a welder end up against it. Slightly dented with all the white paint burned off. Just unlucky I guess. Getting some appliance paint to touch it up. Otherwise I love this unit.
