Nice Camera Phone

I like this phone. It looks expensive, without the expensive price. This phone used to run great on Jellybean but not so great on Lollipop. i can barely hear the speaker now and LineApp does not work with voice calling any-more. Still a great camera and good for texting. I really love the camera, 20 megapixels and a nice sensor, hard to beat.

I had this phone for a month now through StraightTalk's bring your own phone plan. Everything works amazing and I have no problems with it. No 4G but that does not bother me because the 3G works amazing and only paying $45 a month for unlimited everything with a phone like this, why should I be picky about a little bit faster speed. Phone is great, if youre on the fence about buying this, BUY IT! its worth it!

Pros:
-Works with Straight Talk Bring Your Own Phone $45 Unlimited Everything Plan. And works like a charm with fast speed!
-Water proof (and beer proof too =D)
-Amazing Camera
-Good speaker
-Use my PS3 controller with it
-Use the PSP Emulator on HD graphics setting with no lag. Amazing for a phone!
-Screen looks crystal clear (sometimes I watch Hulu and Netflix and the phone instead of my TV)
-Feels like a premium phone and not something with plastic built
-Xperia Rom is an amazing home screen.

Cons:
-No 4G (but not that big of a deal)
-When I first put my 64GB Micro SD card in, it deleted everything without promting me to format. I had to get all my music back.
-Sometimes my widgets stop working. Have to reboot the phone. Only happens about once every one to two weeks
-Compare to the Galaxy S3 the sound quality for music output is ehhhh. (but still not bad)

I bought this model not knowing that it couldn't be used on the 4G network with ATT, as it is only a 3G model.
If I had done some more research I would have known that the model I needed was the C6906 for the 4G LTE. I was shocked that so high priced of phone wouldn't offer 4g to begin with, and I have to deduct a star on that alone.
I have to say though that the phone is a lot better in responsiveness to my old LG Optimus G Pro, and I am really in love with it overall, except for the lack of 4G. :(

I really love the size of the phone, and I also love the fact that I am not accidentally opening apps and the home screen every time I pick it up or put into my pocket.... the Optimus G Pro was absolutely a nightmare when it came to this and I got tired of it.

I highly recommend this phone to anyone who does a lot of social networking and picture taking ,as there are plenty of apps for that already installed on the phone. The pictures that you can take with this phone are gorgeous, and I think any enthusiast would be pleased to have it.
The only knock I have with the phone is that the battery life could be a lot better in my opinion, which might boil down to a software issue that perhaps Sony can fix in the future.
If you look at the reviews and benchmarks on this phone concerning battery life, you will see that it has a higher battery life than most all other phones in talk time, but falls way short in web browsing and watching videos, and I can see that for myself using it to verify it.
I hope that for those looking to enjoy 4G on this phone with the TMobile and ATT network will not make the same mistake I made in getting the C6902 model ,and find this review helpful

An excellent small form factor Android device. This devices size brings back a day where all cell phones were similar in size and it wasn't about screen size (back then) it was about what was inside.

This device is packed w/ todays mid to high end specs, that said, the screen resolution is not quite on par with today's specs.

This is a rare device/company that brings Android 4.4.4 quickly to their devices. Within the first week of ownership, the device morphed from Android 4.4.2 to 4.4.4. We own several "high end" Android devices (HTC M8, LG G3 etc) and not one has 4.4.4 yet.

Overall, this device is compact durable and comfortable to hold. It does however need some kind of re-work on all the "doors" which acess things such as the usb port. This is defiantly something I can see breaking, rather easily.

This is well made, I would recommend this to any user looking for a change back to a decent sized device.

just got this phone yesterday & so far, so good. only 2 issues. it doesn't have voice text options, hope i can find a download to fix that, & the covers over the ports feel really flimsy like they are going to come off at any moment. we'll see how well they hold up. everything else is really good so far. made the right decision switching to Sony.

2 years of frustration

After 2 years this phone has finally kicked the bucket. At first I was incredibly impressed with all of its features (the slick design, easy layout, and waterproof capabilities). But as time went on, I noticed little annoyances here and there (camera freezing, randomly resetting, buttons and flaps breaking off, speaker loosing volume, and headphone jack not working). The last few months I owned it, the battery life slowly got worse and worse, until the point where I could only use my phone with low battery consumption for 1 hour before it drains from supposedly 95% to 0% and immediately shut off. As of right now, it no longer charges or turns on, so it's going to be a pain to get my files off of it, but frankly, I put up with this phone for 2 years, and I am glad it is gone so I can get a much higher quality phone. RIP Xperia Z1. You were almost worth it.

I had the same problem like " T Ekici" who commented b4. When the phone's screen freeze and turned black, i called Amazon customer service. Bc i really like Sony Z1 so I had a new phone just One day after USPS came and pick up my dead phone. After i used new phone about 35 days, it was happended again. This time, Amazon customer service told me :" the quickest way to have this issue resolved is to contact the manufacturer directly for troubleshooting....." so i must called Sony ( Thank you for all Amazon customer service help me that night, you are so nice with me also my English is so bad .... much better than Sony customer sv a lot ....
I cant return to Sony bc it was over 30 days. Now im just waiting from Sony after i sent my phone last 2 days ago by Fex ex.

Design : I loved metal and premium heavy feel along with classy galss on both the sides.
Performance is amazing, and it's blazing fast! Throw any game or Office productive apps on it , can handle easily. Same goes for multitasking too! 2 GB of RAM along with blazing fast quad core proves it.
Battery life is simply amazing, really it's amazing. Try Stamina mode and you will never want to switch your phone! I am in complete love just for this reason. Even after playing intensive games in subway, emails, facebook, clicking pics, etc. it gives me around 1.5 days! well on most cases gives me 2 days!
Camera is simply a winner here, be ready to blow of your mind each time you click a pic!

I highly recommend this phone to any unhappy SAMSUNG/ LG/ APPLE users. Best phone I ever had. Love it, Thanks to SONY and Amazon.
