This is a solid little unit, and quite a heavy one. Bought for use with my Surface Pro 6 and a pair of Acer VG240YU's. The only problem I thought I had was that the connector to the Surface Pro tended to lose it's connection but after giving it a little push it's settled in. It has an indicator light on both sides so you know when it's connected. As long as you're not prone to sliding the tablet all over your desk you'll be fine.

Once everything's plugged in it took just a few minutes to set the monitors and sound up, everything was detected automatically and the network automatically switched to ethernet.

Little bit expensive but worth the money in my opinion

Muy útil para surface pro 4

Lo primero es que sólo es compatible con surface pro 4, surface book, y algún modelo de surface anterior(cerciorarse); se compone de dos piezas de igual tamaño (13 cm x 6 cm x 3 cm), una es el transformador que se conecta por un lado a la red eléctrica (cable desmontable) y en la otra están los puertos ( 4 usb3.0, 2 mini displayport, 1 toma de auriculares/altavoces, 1 entrada para conectar router wifi); esta última pieza es más pesada que la otra y es antideslizante por lo queda bastante estable sobre la mesa, está unida a la anterior por un lado mediante un cable desmontable, y por el otro lado sale un último cable fijo, muy blando y flexible similar al del cargador que viene de serie con la surface pro 4, aunque más grueso, en cuyo extremo está el conector magnético. El conjunto no es muy portable, bastante más voluminoso y pesado que el cargador de serie, pero es factible transportarlo si fuera de interés.
En cuanto al funcionamiento, perfecto, es como si los puertos estuvieran integrados en la tableta, y lo que me parece interesante, si tienes conectados los periféricos al dock (por ejemplo un monitor, impresora, teclado,..) y estás trabajando, y necesitas llevarte la tableta a otro sitio, sencillamente quitas el conector magnético (facilísimo de quitar y poner con una mano y sin tirones, sólo hay que encararlo que él casi se ajusta sólo) y ya está, sin necesidad de apagar equipo ni nada similar (obviamente, los periféricos conectados al dock dejan de estar operativos); y a la vuelta, vuelves a situar el conector en su sitio, y al instante todos los periféricos están de nuevo operativos. Un ejemplo práctico podría ser que estás trabajando usando un monitor conectado al dock, con tu teclado y tu ratón, y quieres ponerte a dibujar en la tableta sin cables que te impidan moverla a tu antojo, pues sencillamente quitas el conector, te pones a dibujar con comodidad , y en cualquier momento la conectas de nuevo y ya estás como antes. (quizás todo esto parezca irrelevante pero a mi me interesaba cómo se comportaba el dock en estos casos, y en ningún sitio pude averiguarlo.
En resumen, caro pero útil y práctico.

Wir sind gerade dabei 2 Home-Office Arbeitsplätze einzurichten. Da meine Frau auf der Arbeit ein Microsoft Surface Pro 7 nutzt, erschien es nur logisch analog dem Büro auch zu Hause einen Arbeitsplatz mit zentralem Dock aufzubauen. Im Ergebnis bleibt das Surface weiterhin mobil und es muss nur ein zentrales Kabel angeschlossen werden.

Wir haben das Dock als Amazon Warehouse-Deal etwas günstiger erworben. Unser Gerät war quasi im Neuzustand inklusive dem kompletten Lieferumfang. Das Dock hat einen Metallkorpus, ist relativ schwer und macht so einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Auf den Bildern nicht zu sehen ist das beiliegende Netzteil. Dieses ist recht groß (ähnlich dem Dock selbst) und für den Betrieb des Docks notwendig. Das Dock ist absolut geräuschlos, es fiept nicht und hat auch keinen Lüfter.

Fest angebracht ist das magnetische Verbindungskabel zum Surface. Über dieses Kabel werden alle Audio- und Video-Signale inklusive dem Strom übertragen. Das Dock verfügt auf der Vorderseite über zwei USB 3.0 Anschlüsse. Dadurch lässt sich das Dock auch als USB-HUB nutzen. Auf der Rückseite befinden sich zwei Mini-Display-Port Anschlüsse, zwei weitere USB 3.0 Anschlüsse, eine Audio-, eine Netzwerk- und eine Strombuchse. An der Seite rundet eine Buchse für ein Kensington-Schloss die Ausstattung ab.

In unserem Fall sind bis auf Audio alle rückseitigen Anschlüsse belegt. Sprich Strom, Netzwerk, zwei Bildschirme und diverse USB-Geräte (u.a. Tastatur, Konferenzmikrofon, 2.1 Audio) sind dauerhaft mit dem Dock verbunden. Die Bildschirme sind mit einem Mini-Display-Port auf HDMI-Kabel angeschlossen und haben wie alle anderen Geräte Out-of-the-Box direkt funktioniert. Da wir viele USB-Geräte angeschlossen haben, wurde auch ein passiver USB 3.0 HUB angeschlossen. Auch hier gab es keine Probleme.

Wir sind mit dem Dock sehr zufrieden, da es Out-of-the-Box funktioniert, wertig verarbeitet ist und es unwahrscheinlich bequem und einfach ist das Surface als „Desktop“ in Betrieb zu nehmen.

Lo mejor, es la conexión Ethernet, que evita tener que estar dependiendo de la intensidad de Wifi y la conexión a varios monitores. Todo ello sólo con conectar la toma única (corriente) de la Dock al Surface. Excelente
Como mejora, podría ser que tuviera altavoces incorporados (aunque fueran pequeños) y no tener que conectar unos externos.

Praktische Docking-Station für alle Microsoft Surface Produkte

Ich habe für unser Büro mehrere Surface Docks bestellt, da unsere Mitarbeiter verschiedene Surface Produkte benutzen (Go, Pro, Book). Die Docks sind praktisch, wenn man die Surfaces mit Lan und Monitor betreiben will. Einfach anklemmen, durch die Magnetkontakte funktioniert das super einfach.
Das Design des Docks ist ansprechend, er steht sehr stabil und rutschfest auf dem Schreibtisch. Besonders gelungen finde ich die Lösung des separaten Netzteils, es lässt sich bei Bedarf unterm Schreibtisch verstecken. Schön wäre noch ein HDMI-Ausgang, der ist heutzutage eigentlich Standard.
Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für den hohen Preis.
