We were looking for a digital frame that is simple with just enough functions that we need.
The AluraAtek 10" photo frame fits exactly what we are looking for.
It is very easy to setup and within minutes we are up and running.
The picture quality is excellent. The price is very reasonable.

Solid budget digital photo frame

Pretty much just as described in the ad and by all the prior reviewers. It does the basics fine, and was just as plug-and-play as promised--a rarity. Loaded a bunch of family pictures for my sister as a Christmas present and I'm confident she'll be pleased.

As others have noted, and therefore what I expected, it's a bit basic and rough in design. The power plug is awkwardly placed, the stand isn't well set up for portrait display, and it's a bit annoying that the display order can't be randomized. 1 point off for those considerations. And another point off for the note included by the seller that they'd send a free gift (supposedly valued at $19.95) if I posted a positive review. That's beyond unprofessional and I sure wish Amazon would crack down on this.

I bought this product last September. Since 1 or 2 photos wouldn’t appear completely. I have deleted this pictures and added others and even some that were perfectly fine are now not wanting to show up. I have tried resetting, deleting and adding pictures and now it’s doing it to just about every one of them. It’s too late to return but I wasn’t as lucky as some on here that rave about it.

Works great for the most part. Haven’t had others to give a comparison but have noticed that it distorts some pictures by stretching them, I’m assuming it’s due to orientation when taking the picture. Would love to see a randomize setting as well. Still well worth the money in my opinion

I think that in general LCD picture displays are a poor value for the money. Just buy a Kindle Fire and set up a slide slow on it, way better image quality and capabilities. This is what I will do next.

I bought this one because it looked cheap and easy, but it has a number of issues. The picture quality is poor. It is very fickle about image file names. If a file name is not of a format that it likes then it will just lock up and not function with no error message displayed. I just figured this out by trial and error. It seems to especially not like long file names and/or file names with special characters. Short and simple works best.

Random crashes. Occasionally it just reboots with no error message displayed.

Partial image display. After some fiddling I got it up and running reasonably well, but after a few days it started only displaying partial images frequently (and rebooting more frequently). It finally got bad enough that I just disconnected it and added it to the electronic junk bin...its not worth wasting time to fix.

No auto dim. This is not an advertised feature of this product, but something to be aware of. The display is bright and there is no way to set a time based dim/screen blank so at night the light can be quite bright and distracting.

UPDATE 20220604:

Instead of this piece of junk I got a refurbished Kindle Fire HD and set it up to run a slideshow. Radically better results! The Kindle HD has a much better quality display. I loaded the "Fotoo" app on it, which gets mediocre reviews, but I find to be excellent for my purposes. Features I particularly like: photos can be sourced from multiple cloud storage services (I use DropBox) and local SD storage. It has a configurable schedule for checking for new photos, so you can just drop new ones into a cloud folder - no need to fiddle with loading onto and SD card. It also has a start/stop scheduler so that you can let the screen blank/dim off hours (no glare from the screen while you are trying to sleep).

Blows the doors off this piece of junk!

I am sure this is a great digital screen but I returned because it is not wireless. The hassle to hook up and transfer wires with correct chords was too much of a headache. Opted to buy one that is wireless.

I ordered an 8" black frame for my mom for this Christmas. I had to replace first one because the USB port was too tight. Also the menu buttons on back didn't work correctly. The 2nd frame works fine. For its price it's perfect for my mom who's 86 & just wants to look at pictures. Aluratek DID send a note, asking for a review, with the promise of a free battery charger. However, the review web site listed does not exist. You do have to keep it plugged in to an electrical outlet in order for it to work. And there is no internal storage. But those are available in higher priced models. I think my mom will like this.
