5.0 out of 5 starsBluetooth works great with a iPhone 13

I got the 3 octave Korg micoKey Air keyboard today. The keyboard + iPhone + GarageBand work great. It's an extremely portable / wireless setup.
The pro's so far (e.g., things I worried about):
- it easily connected via bluetooth to my iPhone 13, via the Korg midi app
- there is zero delay between key press and sound from the iPhone when using bluetooth
- the bluetooth connection stayed active for over 1 hour w/out fail (phone prevented from screen lock)
- the bluetooth connection stayed active thru both screen lock and phone sleep (when that happens, Garage Band needs to be brought into foreground tho)
- the keys have a decent feel, and not prohibitively small
- 2 rechargeable AA batteries kept the keyboard alive for about 2 hours (not sure how charged these batteries were when I started)
The cons:
- to play sounds, Garage Band has to be the foreground app -- not really the keyboard's fault (more a con w/iPhone)j - so screen locks, you lose audio ... on unlock, Garage Band need to be manually put into the foreground (again, a setup issue ... not keyboard issue -- good news is bluetooth connection stayed thru lock screen).
I'm mostly a piano player that prefers full-size weighted keys. I bought this keyboard to do left-hand exercises during down-time (e.g., watching TV). Despite the key size and weight, this thing will work pretty well for that purpose. But what has me really excited is the portability of this setup -- can see it will be cool to this minimal setup around a campfire, drum circle, etc... (something I have never done in the 30+ years of owning 61-key synths).
