My First Gaming Monitor (USED IT FOR XBOX ONE)

I should've got this monitor like long time ago! This is my very first gaming like monitor to have in my room. GREAT PRICE AND GREAT QUALITY! Perfect fit for my desk where I can do my homework, music producing and gaming as well :D The monitor does have VGA and HDMI ports so it should be good for console gaming and pc gaming. I have a photo that is attached to this review so hopefully you guys can take a look and meet your expectations. This is a pretty wide screen for gaming you guys. I got Far Cry 5 from GameFly on the same day when the monitor came in, so for sure that day was amazing! No issues so far with the monitor. I am able to dual screen with my laptop for homework and stuff.

The only bad news is that there is no audio output or like no speakers from the monitor itself. If you need to, buy a output speaker and then connect it to the output jack back of the monitor. Then you will have yourself a good setup!

Honestly, if you are looking for a good price and great quality monitor with almost 24in, look no further guys! This monitor should meet your expectations! I will definitely be thinking about getting another of these babies in the future! Happy Gaming with this!

Monitor is sturdy but the screen kinda looks meh..great for the price though i think..i tinkered arnd to get the color nd other things to give me a optimum view so its finally usable..otherwise not a beautifull display

This is a really nice monitor for the price. It had all the features I wanted for my dorm room. Two HDMI ports and audio passthrough. Now I can play my Nintendo Switch without having to buy a seperate tv for the dorm.

Out of the box the color is terrible, if you are not going to take the time to calibrate this monitor you will be pretty unhappy with it. With some calibration it looks decent but not anywhere near the richness of a IPS panel. My 6 year old HP IPS monitor has better color.
The stand is sturdy but does not offer much customization.

My box was shipped as just the monitor box, not good if you live in a sketchy neighborhood.

Pros: I really liked the quality of the screen, great picture and good size,colors were slightly off out of the box but after I tweaked the settings it looked great

Cons: when I got the monitor it was ghosting really bad, some setting tweaking helped slightly but it made some games unplayable

Other Thoughts: I believe the problem I had was a defect in my specific monitor, I know some people who have the same monitor and it works great for them, I sent mine back but I give it 4 stars because other than the ghosting it was a great monitor for the price and doesn't seem like this happens often, guess I was just unlucky

This monitor came promptly, in perfect new condition, and was very easy to assemble on the stand. I have had it for only 2 weeks now, so I will change this review if there are problems in the future.

The screen is matte and I have it set up with a floor lamp behind me and a lamp on a table behind the monitor. Lamp shades dissipate the light and prevent eye strain, and none of it affects my view of the monitor.

This monitor has some presets for the brightness/saturation sliders and I find the "game" setting to be the best for me.

I do not think the monitor has a bad picture at all, but to each his own. Yes, some high end cell phones some people stare at all day will make this monitor pale in comparison, but it is $108 and those phones are $1000. Apples and oranges.

The stand is stable and I love the easy tilt adjustment. I have my PC on its side presently with the monitor on top of it. It's not for the long term but it works.

In short, this item was exactly what I thought it was and $108 well spent. No regrets.

I absolutely love these monitors. I got a pair of them. An upgrade over my 6 year old Acer S230hl's. They do need a bit of tuning out of the box, as does any monitor. I only have two issues with them. First of all being, why the hell were there not more cables that came with it!? Not really upset about this. I knew this buying them. But the next person might not. The next is, one of them sits a bit taller than the other. For the life of me, i cannot figure out why. Pic is here to see. Other than, great monitor, even better price.

Arrived quickly in 48 hours. Works great -, crystal clear and colorful! It was VERY easy to install. Power cord to monitor & power. VGA cable to monitor & computer or in my case the docking station. If you have 2 monitors (I bought 2) you can install one to the docking station with the VGA cord and the 2nd with the VGA to a HDMI adapter to your computer and/or laptop. Many newer computers have an HDMI port now.

Este monitor es de una calidad alta por un precio realmente bajo. El diseño del monitor es en plástico, excepto la pantalla. Los border del monitor tienen una anchura promedio, no son ni muy anchos, pero tampoco muy finos como muchos de los monitores que estamos viendo en la actualidad. El menú es realmente fácil de utilizar, con comandos que no se necesita mucho esfuerzo para poder entenderlos. También el menú tiene un diseño minimalista, los botones son pequeños y el botón de encender/apagar está diseñado para que no salga del borde. La parte de atrás es en plástico brillante y tiene un logo que, en mi opinión, es más grande de lo que debería ser. También, en la parte de atrás está el arreglo de entradas y salidas, un arreglo estándar, pero este monitor ofrece dos puerto HDMI algo que rara vez se consigue en monitores de este precio. La pantalla tiene una resolución excelente haciendo que los colores no se distorsionen y se mantengan definidos mientras utilizas aplicaciones de productividad, ver/editar videos, ver/editar fotos, o jugar video juegos.

En cuanto a los contras, lo primero es que el monitor no está diseñado para brazos o monturas vesa (vesa mount). Esto es un punto en contra grande porque pienso que el monitor ocupa mucho espacio en el escritorio, además de pierdes la flexibilidad de tener un arreglo de monitores. El segundo contra es que la altura del monitor no es ajustable.

Este monitor lo uso diariamente con PC de Windows y con Mac, y lo he utilizado unas tres veces para jugar con mi consola Xbox. Lo utilizo con aplicaciones de productividad (Office 365), aplicaciones de edición de videos y fotos, etc. Se puede utilizar para gaming porque tiene un modo para eso y es muy bueno, pero hay otros monitores que son más especializados en esta área. En fin es un monitor que ofrece muchas funcionalidades que algunos monitores más caros no ofrecen.

great monitor.. first time buying it from Amazon.. They gave me the option to have it shipped in a plane box rather than the standard monitor box which clearly shows that it's a computer monitor... so I selected plane box... but they didn't ship it in a plane box.. I'm lucky it wasn't stolen.

But back to the actual monitor.. awesome monitor.. now have 3 of them setup at my desk.. i run both my work PC and gaming PC to them. and they will AUTO detect the input.. so when I have my work PC on, they will display that.. and when I turn off my work PC and start my gaming PC.. they switch to that automatically.... or .. if I want to have both PC's running, I can manually select the inputs quick and easy..

Great as a preview monitor for live video!

I'm very impressed with this monitor. The only thing that I was not happy is that this monitor VESA compliant (meaning I can't install it on a VESA wall mount) desktop only. It is clear, sharp, plenty of lumens/nits to go around and with the built-in speakers, it'll get by. You have the option to run the audio out using 1/8" cable, which is handy when you need to extract the audio source out of the HDMI connection. The manual says that the 1/8" isn't suited for headphones use, but I did it anyways and it works just fine.

Do note that there is a difference between the SE2417HG and SE2416HX models. It was a trade-off between getting a better IPS screen or an 1/8" audio-out and not have do deal with an HDMI audio extractor, so I went with the HG model that has the audio-out. With 2ms response time, you really don't have much to lose with the TN display. IPS is nice if you have more than 1 person looking at the screen, but this was intended for one person viewing the monitor. Thankfully, we don't have to worry about motion blur either.
