5.0 out of 5 starsEssential for future iPhone users

I really don't know how I listened to music on my iPhone without this. This little guy makes all headphones sound so much better, not just the ones with high impedance. It even makes apple ear pods sound decent. Im currently using this with an iPhone 6s plus, running Tidal or the Onkyo HF player app, and I now have a portable hifi player that is giving many of the higher cost DAPs a serious run for their money.
I have previously used a Fiio amp and the Oppo HA-2. Both also sounded great, but the real draw for the Dragonfly is that it is so much smaller. I have it Velcro'd onto the back of a cheap iPhone case and its ready to go anywhere. No more stupid bands or heavy amps. I would never have wanted to bring a higher end AK player on a trip to the gym or ride on the bus, but because this little guy has relatively little to worry about damaging and the price point is actually cheaper than a used ipod, Im not so afraid of taking it with me anywhere.
On the negative side, which is not really a ding against the Dragonfly red but rather the apple camera connector, is the I would rather the connector be an L-shape so that it doesn't stick out of the bottom of the iPhone and need to be bent around, which I am currently doing. So far I haven't had any problems, but I know this is stressing the cable/connector. Perhaps Dragonfly can create an L-shaped lightning camera connector in the future?
On one last note, the future iterations of the iPhone are rumored to no longer have a headphone jack, and will only include the lightning plug. If that is indeed the case, then future iPhone users will need a device like this to keep using corded headphones. I hate the sound quality of virtually all bluetooth headphones and speakers I've tried, so I expect I will be using this little device for years to come.
