Wow! Compact with Grrrreat sound

Wow! This soundbar is slim and has great sound. The subwoofer has 6 settings for great but not overpowering bass and normal treble, bass and sound modes can be adjusted. I contacted to my old Plasma Panasonic for now until the LG OLED come down in price a tad and it automatically turns the soundbar on and off with my Dish Network Remote when I turn the tv on. The sound is crisp and music is clear. I turned on a Dolby sound rated movie and anything pass 25 volume was way too loud for my living room and it had plenty to go.

Highly recommend this system for small living rooms as the 300 watts may not be enough for huge rooms, but my 20 x 20 living room this system is compact, easy to connect and thin.

I don't think this was worth the price.

I had an issue where the sound was out of synch but, it was corrected.

I am very unhappy with the mounting contraption. I also purchased a high end LG TV to use with this. There should have been reinforced predrilled holes in this and the TV. I should not have to pay a ridiculous price for a different mount!

I cannot say I would buy this again or that I would recommend this.

UPDATE: 7 months later...synch problems have returned with a vengence! Constant adjusting. Avoid this even with drastic reduction in price. Unless you don't mind feeling like you're watching a dubbed movie .

Works great with LG OLED TV using optical connection, volume control through TV remote seamless, never need to touch soundbar's remote.

Great sound versus built-in speakers. The subwoofer connects wirelessly to soundbar without any sort of configuration.

Not much customization/equalizer options, but the "movie" sound mode seems to work great for all TV watching, and can adjust the subwoofer relative to the volume and it remembers those settings. Soundbar remote sits in a drawer, never need to use it after configured if using LG TV.

Chromecast is a better feature than I expected. Instead of bluetooth (which is also supported) that requires your phone to be nearby, chromecast means your phone just has to be on your wifi network, anywhere in the house. My kitchen is a ways from my TV, but I can chromecast favorite music to the soundbar/subwoofer while working in the kitchen, and control volume from phone. Unexpected bonus!

My favorite "feature" is the ultra-low profile which is primary reason why I purchased this soundbar. For my installation the soundbar is always visible on top of my TV cabinet, so it was important that it be aesthetic and discrete when not in use.

Only two minor negatives prevent five stars.

1) There is a constant light from center of soundbar that tells you what source is being used. It is always on, and for me always says LG OPT. When first powered on, or when changing source or volume, it is very bright. After 10 seconds or so it reverts to dim, but STAYS ON FOREVER. No option to make it turn off. It is annoying.

2) The audio delay when using Dolby vs PCM is significant. My LG OLED TV has A/V synchronization slider, and I can compensate for audio delay from TiVo for PCM audio, but for Dolby output the audio is too delayed for LG TV A/V compensation slider range. That's true for both LG optical and LG ARC connections. I'm happy enough with PCM audio because I don't use surround speakers. Seems disappointing that premium LG OLED TV and premium LG soundbar can't automatically get the A/V timing correct without manual adjustment, and that adjustment varies depending on the A/V source (TiVo vs Bluray player).

All things considered I'm happy with this soundbar, but it could be better if LG could update firmware to turn off the source mode light after delay and/or address the A/V synchronization issues and Dolby delay.

I researched which one would be the best for one of my Lg tv's

I got this Sound bar not long ago, I researched which one would be the best for one of my Lg tv's, the 55" one, I also have a 65" Lg; this particular sound bar works perfect with lg 55" since the length on it is just shy of 48" and the Lg 55" tv is exactly 48" wide, it looks perfect together , easy to hookup, the tv remote took over almost immediately after powering it up, I used the fiberoptic option vs the HDMI cable for connection, couldn't be happier with the results, the subwoofer is a bluetooth and all you have to do is plug it into an outlet.
Now, I've been searching for a sound bar, preferably Lg, that is 57" to fit the 65" Lg tv that I got, wonder if anyone out there can point me in the right direction.

I echo the first review.. The LED display in the middle of the soundbar is quite awful. Its constantly there and there is no way to turn it off or dim it.

Also, have not been able to get this to synch the audio with the video properly. There is only one way to adjust the audio sync the soundbar and I need to adjust it the other way.

I called LG and they were no help whatsoever.. I am quite disappointed with this product after having two Samsung Tvs with similar setups (Tv to Soundbar using Bluetooth), which were problem free for years.

It connects most of the time using the ARC connector, but not all of the time. The sound really isn't a ton better than the speakers built in to my LG OLED TV. And they still don't really help with that annoying issue of REALLY LOUD music and sound effects and everybody whispering when they talk. I'm going to wear out the volume buttons trying to keep the volume constant. I wouldn't buy again.

This does a pretty good job. Good sound. I have a big living room and our couch is about 19' from the, so sometimes the sound doesn't fill the room, but I may just need to play with the equalizer. Really I would have been fine performance wise with the lower model, but I wanted a sound bar that could pass 4K.

Hasw troulbe syncinjt to the LG OLED tv with the optical cable. Appareent have to do a hdmq/arc to hdmi/arc connection to lock taht down. Also, this unit already (from the manufacturer) a one-year watranty; not sure when the "one year warratny" card that was included by the seller actually takes affect.
